Thought not, two individual errors cost us otherwise a good performance fist half and 2nd.you can't legislate for individual error's. I personally feel quite proud of the effort put in by all today.

I think many peoples gripe with TP is he's not learning from his mistakes.
The way we play we need an outlet to take the pressure of us when we clear the ball. Both ours were left on the bench. Hence its only a matter of time till we get picked off.
Had he started with either Fuller or Ethers i think we still would have been in the game at half time.

Sorry mate, conna agree with that. If TP had played his best players then Tommy prob would'nt of been in that position to drop them bollocks, because we would of been attacking. What differene does it make if fentonstokie was at the game or not?

He is just so inconsistent with his statements and I think that irks many people...Today he says that Ethers has been out for nearly a month and so was not going to bang him straight in and that Ricc is still feeling his shoulder...yet Mama (Not anywhere near the Mama prior to injury) has started all but one game since his injury come back. That does not tie up Mr Pulis.

We played one of the top 6 on their own ground (at a time when they're at the peak of their form this season, especially at home) and for most of the game gave a good account of ourselves. If anybody thought we would go to Goodison and attack for 90 minutes they're deluded.
I personally think in keeping back the flair players until 60 minutes (hoping to get to that point at 0-0) and then trying to have a go isn't a bad tactic. It didn't work today but who's to say that if we had attacked from the kick off we wouldn't have got ripped apart and be 4-0 down at half time?? Fact is it's impossible to tell. What is fact is that Everton have a technically better squad than us, and use their players in the right positions to better effect. For me a defeat today was highly likely regardless of the tactic - if we lose the next 2 or 3 then i'll start panicking.

what did sorrenson have to do first half?? my point is the keeper cost us the game today nobody else. we did'nt create much first half but neither did they.

were you at the game mate? two dropped bollocks by the keeper cost us today nothing else. Not the sitting back and allowing them the chances to test the keeper? Not the complete lack of what little inginuity and creativness is needed to pass the ball 3 yards to one another, without panicing and twatting the ball as far up the pitch to, erm, well, nobody as they could? Not the way in which we started with not only the wrong mindset, but the wrong team? No mate, I didn't go to the game, but I was lucky enough to be able to subject my eyes to the absolute abortion that was the first half, via the miracle that is television at a near by pub.

First half we were awful. No TP didn't let those two first half goals in, Tommy was very poor on the second. Fortunately Everton, like many of the teams we have played this season, aren't as good as some people keep on telling us. They are however capable, like others, of looking like world beaters when given the freedom of two thirds of the pitch. Give an average player time on the ball and space to play and he quickly becomes a good one, likewise when they are pressured by fit aggressive players, like ours have done at 2 down the last couple of away games, they look poor. How will we use our resources next away game ? Use the tactics that got a result eventually at Villa and Newcastle and had Everton rocking for half an hour today or the ones that got us our other two points away from home?

It hasn't worked once, and it won't work.Talk of not being rushed back/not playing for a few weeks is bull of the highest order. TP has no qualms in throwing Salif (best midfielder at the club!) and Mama in. His away tactics piss me off more every time he throws a team together, and if we do go down it will be due to his inept management away from the Brit. Fact.

I think that's a great post. To tell you the truth I didn't expect us to get anything at Goodison today, but we really didn't do ourselves any favours in the first half by having our midfield sit so deep. We allowed Everton to play in front of us and made it easy for them. In the second half our midfield came out playing 10 yards further up the pitch and gave Everton something to think about and we looked like a completely different team.

We started with the team who gave us out first comfortable win of the season against Bolton. It was those 11 who saw the double body blow of Tommy's howlers, rolled their sleeves up and brought us back into the game. Bringing Ric on at that point was tactically astute and we looked like we could win the game never mind get a draw. Fuller is not fit and when Ethers came on he changed the game for the worst. If you don't mind me saying, some of you must lead dreadfully depressing lives as you see the worst in everything like a paranoid man who thinks everyone has got it in for him. Try being more realistic, your entire life will be a bit more pleasing.

I saw the Stoke game here in the States today. You really can't blame the coach for this loss. He started a team that he thought would have been able to keep it tight for at least the first half, before injecting Fuller and Ethrington to run at a tired defense. The goal keeper let him down tremendously. He put a huge dent in Pulis's plan. It is already difficult playing away from home and when your keeper spots them 2 goals it can be very disheartening for all the players. Let's face it, neither Fuller nor Ethrington would have prevented those soft goals. Pulis is doing a great job imo. I think Stoke will still be able to stay up.

Goalies mistakes cost games. Ask Van der Saar. One of Tommy's less glorious games yesterday, but to criticise him too harshly is not on. He's also saved us plenty of points, and seeing what other expensive goalies are doing we can consider ourselves lucky to have Tommy for free.
