This is bad news for us imo. He could easily keep Newcastle up on his own.

Nah, he is still a good player don't get me wrong, but he won't keep them up. He isnt what he used to be and they are a really poor side. They are down with West Brazil and Boro

He's not the player he was, but he has already scored two against us this season. I, for one, would prefer it if he didn't play at Stoke, if nothing else.

Lets just hope we dont give him the space we did at Castle! Dont think he'll make an impact, they're on our turf this time

Owen may not be as good as he was, but that isn't anything to due with the fact he has been playing particularly bad, he's not had many opportunties to play bad this season! There is still not many players in the division better than Owen at being in the right place at the right time and finding the net.
He's a massive boost for Newcastle, but with their run-in its still going to be very difficult, they'll be in this dog-fight till the final day of the season, but for me they will stay up, just.
Even though Owen is back there is no guarantee they will be able to keep him fit and injury free for the remaining games, we've seen this with Eduardo who is playing one game, picking up a knock, and missing another at the moment.
To be honest, i hope i'm wrong, but i don't think International retirement is a million miles away for Owen.

Another couple of games before we play him, he'll probably break down again before that.

If Owen is coming back to fitness then there must be an England game in the offing! The bloke can still be a fox in the box, dropping off defenders shoulders and all that, but he ain't got what he had and is playing in a sh!t side. I for one would prefer he didn't play against us, but hey ho, if he wants a beating so be it

he will be injured again when they play us, their is no way he will let his injury prone body spend 90 mins being marked by abdoulaye!

Owen is still a fantastic goal scorer, he has scored 8 in the league this season and hasn't played half of it!!
The issue, is that he's made of glass these days so there's every chance he'll be injured by thee time the Toon visit the brit...here's hoping!
