I currently sit with my brother in Block 26 where we have season tickets.
A couple of mates want season tickets this season and obviously cant sit by us even though three people next to us are not renewing.
So as we can all get the earlybird prices the South stand seems a option.
Anyone know how many spare seats are available in there to season ticket holders.Obviously we would be looking for four seats together or close .
Whats the atmosphere like in there?
I know the concourses are bigger as its packed in the Seddon.

south stand is amazing at times the atmoshere is electric - the mentals so close to the away fans are the best i have seen at the brit
i would imagine you would be able to get 4 seats together if you get earlybird much harder in summer
the concourse is ok pre match but murder at half time
bogs are full of smokers - if the club decide to let smokers out at half time i assume it will be trialed in the southstand because they have the fencing to enable them to do it#
the view is great
the policing and stewarding is very good comapered to stories i have heard elsewhere
one reason for me renewing is the look of the villa fans when mamas goal went in - priceless
the banter with oppo fans is brilliant has a real away game feel to it

Surly if the blokes go to the ticket office with you on a match day and tell them they will not renew they may let your mates have them?????

got a 1/2 ST in south stand this season, i'm on about row 20 and there are quite a few seats around me where there 4 seats next to eachother that aren't ST holders.
Atmosphere is pretty good in there, there's fairly continuous singing although it's not always the whole stand singing - i guess sit from about row 28 or further back if you want to be right in the atmosphere.
There do seem to be one or two in there who are more bothered about the opposition fans than the game though.

I've been paying in there each every game cus I didn't get a season ticket (foolish i know) and there is generally quite a few spare seats in there a week prior to the game so there will be some season ticket spaces.
Its a really interesting football experience, the atmosphere is great but because you are so close to the away fans, its an emotional rolercoaster. Its great fun giving the away fans stick and like the previous guy said the mentals next to the away fans are second to none, but god it makes it all the more painful when we conceed and they give it you back. Because of that its got a proper away day vibe to it. The banter is fantastic I spend most of the match laughing at exchanges between the fans. You aren't in the mass of the stoke fans in fact we are outnumbered most of the time in that stand, but for me it makes it all the more sweeter when we win. If that sounds like your cup of tea then go for it. I know I'm getting my season ticket in there this year.

I was in the South Stand for the Villa game, easily the best atmosphere ive ever encountered at a Stoke match, particularly when Mama scored. Ive never seen us lose when ive sat in the South Stand either.

I've been sitting on different places at The Brit over the years, but the South Stand is the best part of the ground. Intimate, lots of banter and incredible atmosphere. Love it!

I was trying to explain to a mate at work today about the unique atmosphere in the South Stand. It's something that you really cannot explain until you've been there.
Incredible.
I would urge anyone who hasn't got a season ticket to invest in that particular area for next year.
344 pounds sterling
what a bargain.

Got to be honest, form the rest of the ground the South stand sound pretty crap, especially when they decide to start a Delilah on their own.

If you want a "Victoria ground" atmosphere then get your seats in the "seat" stand. Love the place. i'll be renewing our 3 season tickets on the 16th, wouldn't sit anywhere else now. Loved the Villa game and beating Manc Shitty, the looks on their face's was worth my season ticket alone!!!, you don't get that anywhere else in the ground
