Momo:
Must admit mate, I did chuckle at the 'little' remark.
Seriously though, we're all disappointed at the outcome but what has he really done wrong? He hasn't bad mouthed the club, the fans, the manager or his team mates. He knows he made a big mistake coming here - we're not the right club for him. at the end of the day I honestly believe he tried to do what was asked of him but it was 'alien' to him and he struggled. We could argue that he might have applied himself a little better and maybe he simply wasn't good enough.
Don't think he's done a lot of whinging, Momo. I think he's been refreshingly honest in his appraisal of the situation. He made a mistake coming here and TP made a mistake in signing him. we obviously differ in opinion but I think he has (apart from disappointing on the field) conducted himself respectfully and honestly.
Just hope he does the Bussiness for Reading and we comeout of the situation with nothing more than a small loss.

To be honest mate nothing he's said until that self pitying Times article today has bothered me that much. His sullen on pitch attitude and obsession with his previous club on the other hand prvents me from wishing him well.
Sorry, I just think he comes across as a bit of a twat.

Yes, he clearly does love Reading. Bit annoying I agree.

He's hardly going to say, 'I was clearly one of the best players at the club, but even so, despite my obvious hunger for the game and my ever present threat to score match wining goals. TP didn't want to play me. The fact that I cost the club £5000,000, is in fact proof that all the thimgs I say about myself are true, and Stoke will regret I ever left.' Diplomacy, folk's, diplomacy. In fact, I was very disappointed that he didn't do the stuff for us, but he didn't fit in, and I don't think it was only style wise. The bloke didn't want to be here, and it showed in the end.

lancer,
do keep up. we're not allowed to talk about this anymore. The powers that be have spoken. There's an appreciation society and everything.
Best Regards,

Just how is the Times article "self pitying." It is, infact, the opposite as he has shouldered the blame and admitted he was wrong.
Isn't it a shame that some of the players who have professed to love our club haven't shown such honesty and integrity when they have moved on?
I suppose the idiots will boo him regardless next time he comes to the Brit.

Question: When players come to Stoke and tell us that they are glad to be here, do we worry if that those comments might upset the club they have left????????? Come on Lads.....Grow Up All this madarsing about Kitson is juvenile beyond belief... makes you wonder how old are the posters on this board.

when he joined us, we bummed him, he was saying the right things. Different story when he could score and keep his place though.

anyone who went Austria pre-season will tell you that he's the most up-his-own-arse, miserable plum that we've had for a good time. He'd be chucked out of a pub if it was happy hour.
I could see he wound't fit in from those days in July pre-season.
Sulky, moody and we don't need the likes of him. Good player, wrong team, wrong time, completely un-Stoke like bloke.
Two d's in riddance, yeah?

Kitson obviously couldn't settle and didn't have the personality to fit in with his team mates. I noticed this in the pre-season game at Shrewsbury. Even then he was on the outside of things, looked pretty sullen and quite obviously wasn't fitting in well with his team mates.
Unfortunately his performances pretty much reflected his attitude towards his new surroundings.
As for Fuller...Outside of his attitude on the pitch, Rikki is a really lovely fella who went out of his way to help my wife on a fund raising project that she was doing at work. She can't speak highly enough of him so I simply can't agree with the thoughts of "two times".
Fuller is a class act, a brilliant player and a real asset to Stoke City.
HE SMACKS HIS TEAM MATES IN THE FACE, FULLER FULLER COMPARED TO VINCE WITH THINK HE'S ACE, FULLER FULLER RICARDO FULLER GETS THE BALL YOU KNOW FOR SURE HE'S BOUND TO SCORE RICARDO FULLER IS CITY'S NUMBER 10!

I know an ex stoke player who still knows most of the dressing room & he told me yesterday that most of the lads are relieved he's gone. That seems to back up the posters on here saying he had an aloof attitude.
Sometimes players just dont fit in. We need to accept it and move on.

Isn't this "he's not very likeable" tack a bit hypocritical? Would anyone be at all bothered if he had scored 20 goals?
Bunny, you must have played cricket with some dislikeable people over the years. Did it matter if they were doing their bit on the pitch?
Internationally Boycott immediately springs to mind and not many seem to like KP. I won't be complaining if KP puts the Aussies to the sword.

Reading Forum view on Little and Kitson signings:
DESPERATION!! Almost as bad as signing Keown and Ferdinand. Little has been an embarrassment today and on Tuesday. Not match fit, no pace and has lost his guile to beat a player. Kitson looks off the pace and is still the same--flailing arm and legs but no end product. How the hell did we get 5.5 mill for him. I felt sorry for Shane Long today. Kitson shoud have gone off. Mr Mad has taken his eye off the ball with all the euphoria around his Knighthood. Coppelll is really beginning to lose the plot big time!

WEVEWONIT2TIMES....what an utter load of shit, by slapping your captain you ARE showing you care about the club, it WAS Griffs fault for the goal and that showed that Rik cared about the club, as for the falling about diving ?tell me a footballer nowadays that doesnt, or wouldnt you want any of the penalties that hes won us. Many a time when I,ve seen our EX captain in a Stoke shirt I,ve wanted to slap the slow fucker, and as for the uninterested bit !! You are a prat, that is Riks style, one of the few players we have got that can win us a game and you have a go at him, either back the team or feck off and support someone else ! ! Oh, and as for Ginge, I,m glad hes gone, other than slap the captain HE fits everything you say about our Rik calm down mate its another " he cares to much " you care on a football pitch by shouting out " comon lads lets keep goin and get at em" not slapping your own players... if he cared so much he wouldnt have cost us 3 points at west ham
