..but at Reading? two press releases in three days, giving it the "us" and "we", how pleased he is to be back and how he rejected moves from everyone and everything in order to return to his beloved Berkshire. Christ i hope he stays there...... www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1805_5040830,00.html

So last year when reserve Premiership players were turning us down left right and centre so they could 'fight for their place' they were money grabbing, lazy bastards. This year with the tables turned they are disloyal.

Did you hear Kitson talk us up once in his time here? Did he once state publicly that he was going to fight for his place and try and win the respect of the manager and his fellow professionals, like Tonge and Soares have done?
No he sulked about, jogging round in the reserves and then goes "home" and all of a sudden it's like we never happened. After 5 and a half million fucking quid in transfer fees, and a million in wages, i would expect a bit more.

I'm pretty sure I read several such pieces early on in his time here Vestan, and didn't he even post on here once saying pretty much just that, that it wasn't working and that he was going to fight for his place?

I'm very grateful to Nick Hammond, who has worked unbelievably hard and also to Stoke City for giving me the opportunity."At least he thanked us for the opportunity to..er...leave. Think nothing of it, Dave. Oh, you didn't.....

So let me get this straight, we sign him - he struggles to settle into a team which doesn't suit his style of play, he works hard in the games he does play but ultimately doesn't make much of an impression and spends the rest of his time working in training to keep himself fit. He doesn't come out in the press blaming everyone but himself that he isn't getting a game or slag the management/staff off. When the opportunity arises for him to get first team football he takes it with both hands are relishes the opportunity.
Actually you're right, he's scum of the earth isn't he.

He didn't look to interested when playing for the reserves Gonzo, maybe that coincided with him being dropped and ultimately going out loan.
He obviously wanted the move and guess what - He got it!
He didn't fit in and it didn't work for him but to be fair as soon as it started not working out he wanted out.

Give him a break. The club (Reading) will have arranged for him to talk to the media and he has trotted out the usual platitudes - surely no-one is daft enough to think the players come up with this off their own bat? It is all choreographed, players at Stoke, or anywhere else, only talk when they are told to and we clearly wouldn't have been putting up DK for press conferences qwhile he was languishing in the reserves. Good luck to him, I say, it has been a case of right club at the wrong time,

players at Stoke, or anywhere else, only talk when they are told to I can't imagine Stoke told Ricky to talk to that Sky reporter when he did that passable impression of Kevin the Teenager after he'd bitch slapped Griffin.

The players involved were "doorstepped" close to the training ground. The reporter was allegedly then banned by SCFC for doing his job!

Kitson did a lot of positive PR here in his first couple of months, be fair. Then it's natural enough the club kept it quiet when it just wasn't working out. And you've got to understand the Reading PR team doing this now, he could be extra boost that gets the fans in and gets them promoted again. Also to be fair he was as popular and successful there as he wasn't here...

Are people saying that Kitson who was on the brink of the England team not so long ago suddenly couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo. Give him a break.
