Just had a quick browse at the One Vale Fan message board(needed cheering up) and one poster is saying that Glover is going and a compensation deal has been agreed. Most likely to be bull as i can't see Fail affording to pay him off.Anyway in my opinion he is doing a brillant job. Sorry can't do links to the thread.

At some point our unwashed cousins need to accept that they're knackered whoevers in charge.
You can't polish a turd.

He is still on his assistant managers deal as it stands so they could replace him at any time without actually sacking him from the club

Looking back Martin Foyle, whilst not quite polishing a turd, was at least dusting it and the soft fuckers sacked him. They probably blame Stoke City or the council for that as well

Looking back Martin Foyle, whilst not quite polishing a turd, was at least dusting it and the soft fuckers sacked him. They probably blame Stoke City or the council for that as well Since they canned Rudge they've been in a cycle of appointing managers and then sacking them when the going got tough, they never stop to think "if we sack this guy it might get even worse, so best stick with him". The saying "be careful what you wish for" is apt for any Vale fan.

They'd be in the championship by now if horton was still in charge. Wern't they 6th in league 1 when they sacked him?

I played under Glover for one game when he was at Stone Dominoes. That's my claim to fame.

They were in a decent position in the league when Horton left, but there's absolutely no chance that they'd be in the Championship now if he'd stayed. One of the reasons Horton left the club is because Valiant 2001 were preparing to slash Horton's wage budget and he was not going to be offered a better contract than he was on at the time.

No way they'll sack him they haven't got a pot to piss in,nothing official yet but if they lose to Darlo on satdee i cant see him being there much longer, they're just lucky chester look to challenging them for "shite'ist team of the season"award.

I know a few Sunday league managers who may be up to the future challenge of the Blue Square North!
Why can't they just accept, like us, they've found their level!
