How many more points do you think we'd have if we'd have had Beattie all season?

We would have been sandwiched neatly between Villa and the Arse. ;D

Does 'sandwiched between the Arse' belong on the brown wings thread?

We will never know the answer to that question, but we did reach 12th place in November without him.

It's interesting that we've managed to score six goals despite Etherington's absence. At any level, that is a fair return!
Just goes to show that, despite his class, we do have capable cover across the team. That said, I can't wait for his return (hopefully for all ten games)!

Or worringly how many points would we now have if we hadn't signed Beattie at all?

Beats has played extremely well and is in excellent form. Would he have kept it up for the whole season, especially if he had been expected to play the "Mama role" in the way Kitson was early season? Maybe we'd be looking at Beattie not making the bench while a recently recruited ginger ninja was banging 'em in.
