Playing players in their right positions can work wonders, Putting Cresswell in midfield really did hamstring us imo, nothing against Cresswell, it goes without saying that he works ard and puts a shift in, but work rate alone was never enough to make up for the fact that he's not good enough to play out wide in this league, he wasn't really quick enough or clever enough in the league below.

I wouldnt want to criticise a Stoke player as he obviously wears the red and white, and in all respect to him, he does a job he is expected to do....run about.
Im glad to see that Pulis may have realised that there are better players than Richie Cresswell though none the less. Cheers Cressy but I believe your time is nigh.

Cresswell would be a brilliant signing for an aspiring Championship team who are just falling that bit short at the moment. Someone, like Sheffield Wednesday or maybe Cardiff for example.
In other words do for them what he did for us last season - play a big part in a promotion push.

Two games in a row that he hasn't been on the pitch= 4 points.
I also noticed he stayed on the bench when we beat Villa at home 3-2. I can see a pattern forming...

Would you have fancied Cress to bag that Beattie goal last night? As soon as Beatts went clear you just knew where that was ending up.... Onion bag!!! Now if had been cress, well i'd of turned around probably. Not having a big go at cresser but he just isn't premier league quality unfortunately.
Thank you for your effort this season cress and the great contribution last season towards promotion but I see your SCFC days sadly behind you now.
I just hope he finds a decent CCC club like Burnley or someone and he becomes a fans favorite elsewhere now.

To be fair to Cresswell though lots of his games have been when we have been missing players, ie Lenny and before Ethers & Beattie came. He played a lot of games when we basically had 1 striker fit so when played he's been surrounded by weaker players. Also we've just had a massive run of tough fixtures. When you remember until recently Whelan has been poor aswell.
I underdstand everyones sentiments but i seriously can't see we'd be much better off if we'd played Tonge or Kitson in his place.
That being said i'm delighted we are getting a fit squad back again and he can be used much more sparingly.

I'm getting worried about him and his £3000-a-game appearance money now.
Is he okay?
3 games without getting on the pitch, 2 without getting on the bench and not in the 18 for the reserves.
