I think Tone has settled into a few new great tactics. I want to name a few.
1) Obvious one bringing Fuller on at the hour mark. I think he relishes in chaning the game and he gets frustrated when he plays for too long.
2) The best yet. (I didnt watch match of the day so sorry if this was on there)
Now we know Glen can hit em, did you see his unmarked position on the edge of the box, a lot of the long throws were headed away. Putting Glen there gives a great chance for a volley. I think if we put Liam on the other side it could be a fair old barrage.
3) No tippy tappy like West Brom but when we gain possesion from being under pressure, holding the ball rather than booting it away.
If there is any more then feel free to add.
I can smell hot and sticky premiership action next season and I am confident it wont come down to Arse at the end.

Yes players were allowed over the half way line.
I saw Danny do an overlap when we were only 1-0 up. Unheard of!!

Never should the words "hot & sticky, "action" & "Arse" be mentioned in the same sentence in my opinion!! ;D

A team is most vulnerable just after they have scored... I noticed when we went 2-0 up and Bolton came straight at us in numbers a few of our players got a serious case of cramp, slowed the game down and we settled again.

I noticed on some of our corners our furthest man back was in between the box and half way line. Everyone was really high up.

I liked the attacking impetus that we seemed to use last night (Confidence from the 2nd Half at Villa perhaps???) rather than the usual 10-15 mins of sitting deep to work out the opposition before trying to hit with an over the top counter attack. It makes a pleasant change to see us trying to get up and at the opposition fro a change

We left Ricci on the halfway line on their corners, immediately 3 defenders stayed back to mark him. Interestingly Bolton defended ours with all their players in their box!

its true, there was an obvious change in tactics for last nights match and they seemed to work a treat. As long as we defend that well and push forward so directly, i think Whelan with Lenny and Ethers will be awesome outlets with our quality strike force.
