What a legend.
Looked badly injured with all subs used - really finding it difficult to walk.....
10mins later - full recovery - taking the p*** out of the bolton players in our own box...
This guy is a stone cold legend, he is the player everyone would want in their team, a total team player, full of fight, pride and determination.
He is a rock, the best defender if not the best overall player i`ve ever seen down at Stoke (20yrs)....
I knew he would be a legend as soon as we signed him, proud to don his name on my shirt.
I`ve heard storys of Dennis Smith playing through injury and the fact that players like Dennis arent in the game any more, stand up Abdy.
Immense.

I commented to my old man last night that I have never seen a defender so comfortable on the ball in his own box - certainly never at stoke.
Outstanding.

When Abdy Faye wakes in the morning the first thing he does is decide what the weather will be like....

Agreed, top defender. He reads the game well, and his body positioning is very good. Once he gets himself between the forward and the ball, he is immovable! He is quite calm on the ball, and I think he could be quicker than I first realised.
Big up for Tone in signing him. I didn't know too much about him, and didn't know he was available. Makes me smile that Newcastle let him go for £2M and signed Collucini for £10M. Likewise, would you swap him for Anton Ferdinand at £8M? Abdo, Soro and Beats look like the 3 best signings of the season anywhere in the league.
Two things from last night. The last minute tackle, in the box, when the forward was goal side of him. Came away with the ball, and won his free kick on the edge of the box, even though he was struggling with a knock. You could tell from the reaction of Ryan Shawcross he knew just how good that was.
Secondly, thought Soro was a brave man to have a go at him when the shot came in from the near post. Ab was still chuntrering about it at half time, and I noticed Liam looked after him and told him to let it go.

Did anyone see the reception he got of the Bolton fans at the end? They were clapping him like mad and chanting his name and he was loving that too. Just shows how much people rate the guy, he is so fucking immense it's hard to put into words at times.
I also loved it when we were singing his name he was waving his hands encouraging more more more, haha he absolutely loves it here at Stoke. A marraige made in Heaven!!!

Two reasons whay Abdy would never have departed due to injury last night: 1) We'd used all of our subs. 2) While at Bolton, he contracted AIDS half-way through a game, but ran it off.

I honestly thought 'shit' when he started to struggle. Fortunately, he grew a new calf muscle and carried on. I find myself pissing with laughter whenever he's on the ball. He's a centre half but he doesn't half take the piss - when has there been a player at Stoke like him before?
I loved it when he ran out to our left back position to cover, pulling it down on his chest before skinning a Notlob player on the inside with a cheeky bit of skill.
I wish I was Abdoulaye Faye.
