Now, Mike Dean didn't have an absolute shocker in terms of bad really bad decisions. But IMO was one of the worst referees we've seen this season. He gave us fuck all! He moaned that Delap dried the ball, he was wank at using the 'advantage' rule in gerneral he was wank. Every 50:50 went Boltons way and that worsened when they went 2 nil behind, Do the referee/Fa want us out of the league that much, they send bias refs week in week out.

He's always been a cock smoker. Totally inept in every way, I thank God that there were no real 50-50 decisions to make on potential penalty calls in our box.

I cant accept the standard of refereeing this season. Rooneys elbow and Ronaldos kick are less of an issue than a fucking towel.
And that gentlemen is the nub of the issue.

Where does every ref get 4 minutes of added time from !!? 5 subs and a couple of bouts of cramp from our centre halves. On the whole he was poor and picky. One of the worst of the season.

Where does every ref get 4 minutes of added time from !!? There were five substitutions in the second half. If the referee adds on 30 seconds per substitution, that leaves one and a half minutes for other stoppages. Considering that it takes Sorro about five minutes to retrieve the ball and take a goal kick and Higgy a similar amount of time to take a throw in, I was more than happy with four minutes. We are the masters of time wasting.

Where does every ref get 4 minutes of added time from !!? notice how last week at Villa the Ref gave only 2 minutes, since one of the big clubs was holding onto a lead.

The referee essentially didn't have much to do tonight, as the game ran pretty much itself. Let's not be too harsh on Mr. Dean, he felt the need to put the whistle to his mouth for their goal even though Sorensen, well, err, fell over. A quiet night for ref.

Elmander definately obstructed Sorro for that incident...

Not from my cushy Netherlands TV perspective. Nowt wrong with their goal. Since when has standing in the 6 yard box been an offence? He fell over, they scored, should have been a goal. The goalkeeper seems to have some sort of ref-alarm-zone these days.

MOTD seemed to show Elmander basically standing on Sorenson's toes as Tommy jumped for the ball...

I thought he was a decent ref tbh.Not needlessly booking players and giving us a fair amount of decisions. People moan for the sake of it.

He is a controversial referee. I don't like him, and he does seem to pick on sides. Instead of giving it to Rory for drying the ball, he should send off that prrikk Ronaldo for diving next time he gets a Manure Knighted game. But it won't happen. Make a stand Dean!
Different rules for different fools. We are an underdog in many eyes, and do seem to be treated accordingly by some refs.

The disallowed goal certainly looked a far heavier challenge than 3 or 4 that were given as fouls against Shawcross at the other end. Jaaskelainen kept pushing Ryan in the back then step back once the ball was in the air. Ryan would appear to force himself backwards, whistle would blow!

I think Dean was fairly consistent in his protection of the goalkeepers as Tijuana says he kept penalising Shawx...in fact one foul was literally just for standing there. It is toss but most res do it these days...other than that he was ok but someway behind Webbs refereeing on sunday.

Considering Kevin Davies has got a huge reputation for niggly fouls when the ball is in the air (and rightly so, the ball didn't go near the bloke without him pushing somebody in the back, pulling a shirt or jumping with his elbow) the ref didn't seem to want to know though... when it was Sidibe however, free-kick every time.
Kevin Davies gave Wilko a massive 2 handed push in the back first half, right in front of the referee... he just turned away, ball got cleared and Sidibe got penalised for 'backing in'. I knew then it was going to be a frustrating performance from the ref.
Week in week out we're getting referee's that have got 90% of their focus on Stoke's play, it's no wonder we are so high up in the 'foul play' table.

Thought the ref did ok too. Fair enough, not perfect. But lets face it, when will we ever see a ref thats perfect. As someone else already said, compared to others we have seen this year.....

Thought he had a poor game to be honest. Blatant hand ball in the first couple of minutes that he didnt even see set the tone. Thankfully he didnt have a lot to do. As for the disallowed goal, Sorro was impeded so it was a foul, I sat with a Bolton fan who thought it was the right decision as well
