He has plenty of critics, but he's the kind of character you love to have in your squad

That's a shame. I was hoping to hurl some abuse at him on Saturday.
"I was stuck on the bench which was embarrassing and insulting."
To be fair, they have a pretty good strikeforce. Steve Kabba, Lee Hughes and Lewis Allesandra, who I saw score a hat-trick against table topping Scunny earlier this season.

The sort of bloke I'd have liked on the bench 3 or 4 years ago.

i really hope they do recall him, imagine Hull's survival hopes resting on the shoulders of a 20stone Desperate Dan look-a-like who was past his best 3 years ago ;D
Desperate times for Tango Man Brown ;D

He's 39 and hardly in the best shape, he should be happy that he's getting games at all rather than throwing a wobbly cos he was on the bench for one match.
Go back to Hull, Windarse, and take them down with you...

Who could ever imagine the Hull lad would score the goal at Wembley to take us up? I still have a feeling he will have some part to play this season, whether its positive or not, time will tell. One things for sure, he is an example to many, he gets a lot of crap from people, but I don't see many striker with the desire and ability to play up until his age. Dean Windass is the type of character that football in this country desperately needs, and he deserves respect

If your own egotistical manager doesn't respect him, don't ask us to.

I agree with sutton. The game is short of characters like windas. What he did down our place with delap was a right pisser. Always caused a stir at our place.

Oatcakecorral:
If one of our players had done that you would have laughed your nuts off (I know I would). But then I laughed at Windass. He always has had loads of stick at Stoke and he's always took it in good heart and gome back with a funny response. Fine player in his day and a good guy (Not enough of em in today's football)
