Does anyone else think that kicking towards the Boothen second half is a major factor in our home form? I know myself that when we lose the toss I always feel a bit down. The thing is Megson knows this and you can guarantee Bolton will turn us around tomorrow if they get the chance. Lets all hope that Ab Faye plays and he scares the coin into the correct drop!! ;D ;D

Yer I think that it does make a big difference, by turning us around the opposition do benefit from a less powerful Boothen Effect in the second half.

we should have a facility whereby the stadium moves 180 degrees at half time

There is a lot to be said for doing what Villa do - ie put the away fans at the side of the ground to leave both ends for the home supporters. Wolves do it as well - we should consider it.

I started a thread suggesting this a few weeks ago...moving away fans into the JSL... The South Stand would all be Stoke...and become The Spiritual Boothen End (it faces North West lke the Old Boothen..not South East like the Boothen End Brit).... This season the only two teams to make Stoke attack The Boothen first half were Fulham and Portsmouth...and it definitely had an effect.... Gary Megson will do the same...no doubt about it..

Being in the South Stand, I'm always quite glad when they get turned around! And don't underestimate us south standers, we can make a bit of noise as well y'know

I thought it was just me that got dissapointed when we get turned round. if you kick towards the away end first half you still have 45 minutes to get excited about kicking towards us second half ;D

Very much agree; it could be very intimidating / encouraging for players having the Boothen right next to the changing rooms too.

It has often occurred to me that we score more goals at the away end since moving to the Brit. Wouldn't mind some stats on that. PS. The 'Boothen End' (RIP) does not exist anymore.

ye it defo has a big effect on the team, as has been shown by the fact that we score the very large majority of our goals in the 2nd half
