As we struggle to speak - such was the shouting when the equalizer went in against Villa - on this week's show, we are joined by a man who knows all about shouting - Match of the Day's Jonathan Pearce. Jonathan chats to us about the exciting events at Villa Park and also speaks at length about his career, his favourite footy memories and his feelings towards Stoke. There's a properly amazing prize to win in this week's quiz which you won't want to miss. There's all the other usuals too including listers emails, obscure stoke memories and a guinea pig update. download it now from www.stokecityetc.co.uk or subscribe via itunes. lease do post your thoughts below - we very much enjoy reading them...

Looking forward to this as always. Could you get Noel Blake on as a guest I wonder? I imagine he would have some stories from both as player and as coach whilst being at the club. Be good to hear about his relationships with both Pulis and Boskamp etc.

Hi Everyone If you are struggling trying to picture the prize as I described it on the show...? < look to the left here as my profile pic is a Gold Disc Nano. Thanks for the interview Nick & Michael I enjoyed it... a bit of a media frenzy after my monthly spot on Radio Stoke with Terry Walsh - then the interview with you guys... then a double page spread in the Sentinel as well... tiny.cc/v9EtmNick & Michael I really enjoyed the second part of the Jonathon Pearce interview he sounds a really decent bloke. I thought Jonathan Pearce came over well in his interview. And he was very complimentary about Stoke (and the noise made by our fans) - it is obvious that he and TP go back a long way and are good friends.
Once again another excellent pod cast - very easy listening.

Just listening to the podcast now lads and I can't believe the mistake you have made. Ben Petty scored against Oldham and not Walsall when the game was called off due to a floodlight failure, I remember it well. Withdraw his prize! ;D

Nick, Michael, and Lora, Great podcast again, i thought it was the best of the lot so far and you guys continue to amaze with the guests you get on the show. I hadn't listened for a few weeks, but caught up again with the last few last night and i really enjoyed razor wallace, he was my hero in midfield growing up! Jonathan pearce was also well worth a listen and came across well in the interview. Seems a real sound bloke who really knows his football, when he was talking about how far stoke had come etc. in the last few years, referral to icelandics and pulis falling out. Not sure how many other MOTD commentators would have that sort of insight into SCFC.
Keep up the good work, Ash.
PS. Ben Petty scored at Oldham in a LDV vans trophy game i think, game was called off when floodlights failed about 5 minutes after the goal.

Awesome podcast again, probably in the top 3 of all season!!!
Jonathan Pearce is a great guest to get, I though he was going to faint with that introduction you gave him ;D ;D ;D
Also the one a few weeks ago with the exiles was brilliant, great how Stokies are watching the games on a bus to work in Aus & people in Spain watching the games outside whilst all hell is breaking loose!

Cracking podcast again and a simply superb interview with Pearce, he came across very well and had plenty to talk about with some great and sad moments in football, I never realized he had such a great background in football...I thought he just went from Robot Wars to football just because he provided a little entertainment in the commentary compared to most others. . I think it's in my top 3 interviews as well so far....for Lora I guess the podcast wasn't so good due to the coffee stain on your sofa . Thoughts also for the Guinea pigs' nuts...poor little guys! Talking of nuts, I turned to one of our cats after Carew scored the 2nd for Villa and said 'There's more chance of you growing your balls back than Stoke getting back into this!'...little did I know!

Thanks so much for all these comments - can't tell you how encouraging a read it is...
Jonathan Pearce was genuinely a top bloke and he said he'd be more than happy to help us out in the future.
We'll see what we can do about the quiz controversy... Apologies...
Keep the thoughts coming and if you've never downloaded a SCE podcast, this would be a good start.
