...not seen the reason given?
Although I'm a big Tommo fan, his comedy flap at their first defied explanation unless he was badly unsighted??...

Had a knock to the head, he felt sick at HT.

Said on TV here that he got a whack on the head in the incident where the ball went loose in the 6 yard box.
Agree-like the Ronaldo goal he seemed to dive way too early and lost the flight of the ball.

Sorro lost the flight of the ball....and so did I. I've watched it loads of times and I still don't get the flight of it. I thought it was deflected, then that it swerved in the air, then that it was just hit so hard and true. I'm not sure many, if any, keepers would have got near it. I'm not a big Sorro fan but I wouldn't blame him for that one. And while on the subject, I wouldn't blame Simmo for the second one either, it was impossible. If Carew really meant it, goal of the season for me.

Sorry but was straight at him and he dived away. Agree had power but an international keeper saves that for me ( Carson excluded). Simmo had no chance- haven't seen anyone criticise him on that to be honest. Great goal.

I'm sure Sorro's knock on the head played some part in his unconvincing attempt to save their first. He appeared to see it very late and he didn't seem to be unsighted - maybe slighly concussed?

If Carew really meant it, goal of the season for me. Agreed. I think he did mean it, in the same way that Dave Brammer used to "mean it" when launching his 40-yard attempts into row Z. When it comes off it's spectacular, but if Carew tried that another hundred times it wouldn't go in.
