One or two players for me put a superb shift in. Wilko, Shawcross and Lawrence spring to mind but for me, Beattie showed everything about our team in a two minute spell.
'Gets past the full back to the bye-line and chips a beauty in the 6yrd box where 1 of 3 players should have had a head on it. Within 60 seconds he's taking the ball off the left peg of their left winger just outside our box'
To quote mar lady.............. "is that the same player?"

Agreed. Beattie's stats look good - 6 games, 4 goals, 2 assists. But he does so much more than is shown by those stats. I felt for him in the first half when the formation left Mama on the wing and Beattie isolated and he isn't suited to a lone striker role. But credit to him, his head didn't drop and in the second half when he found himself on the right wing he got stuck in and, whilst he isn't a natural winger by any means, he put himself about in attack and defence and made Ryan's goal with a cross of which any winger would be proud.
The bloke is amazing and pushes Ab Faye for the title of TP's best signing this season. I wish we had bought him when he left Everton but the Blades had the money at the time and we didn't.
