I wonder where we'd be if he'd stayed a couple of years? If he had I doubt he'd be going for jobs like Yeovil now. It's always good to see a club promoting from within though.

Dont be to quick to laugh, according to someone I know Quitter will be the manager of Plymouth fairly soon.
Also Yeovil in crisis and fairly skint, hence then appointing their captain.
If Quitter has had a heads up about the Plymouth job then it probably goes some way to explainning why he's not at Yeovil now.

Much as I loathe the Quitter...he has a decent track record at lower league management. I am surprised he isn't working...maybe because he maintains delusions of grandeur about his management ability which is clearly limited....would love to see him back at Stoke....as an opposing manager.....chance to vent my spleen at him....one of soccers true mercenaries

Funny isn't it. One man discovers the board of SCFC are a buch of fools and downs tools, and is universally hated by the support.
Another man discovers the same, plays politics with the team and delivers the most boring season in the history of professional football and he is a genius and local hero.
Thin line between love and hate.

I think quitters decision to leave Stoke had more to do with his lofty delusioned ambition than the ineptitude of the Stoke board Mr Magic.....as for TP being a genius thats an opinion limited to just a few on here

Well - you might be right, but I have it from one of those "sources" that one can never trust completely, that he felt he had been lied to consistently by the board and saw no future for himself at Stoke.

That can't be true MM otherwise why didn't George Burley see the same duplicity in the board and dump us at the 11th hour leaving them no option but to appoint the 5th choice candidate. Oh, er, now I see!!
