noise wise,
the man city match was the first game i have been to for a long time where i heonestly think the fans helped win the game,
but we need to be louder on saturday, the lads got a clear boost after the now legendary 80th minute nothing roar,
also its my birthday, so i would love us to win.
im going to be making more noise then i ever have before, everyone else needs to do likewise, the finish line is in sight, lets blow stoke over it.

Agreed.
But the man city game was fuelled by passion. Not sure we can generate that without something happening.

Agreed. But the man city game was fuelled by passion. Not sure we can generate that without something happening. As much as I would love to out do the Man City game I've gotta agree with Bick. Our best atmospheres come when there is something that gets our backs up, or where the expectancy levels are low. Liverpool - Gerrard's recent police skirmish. Man City - Delap going off. Arsenal - A complete polar opposite in style + Adebayor and Van Persie's antics. It is possible though.

If Mama starts that'll get the crowd going. If Mama's on the bench and comes out to warm up, that'll start it too!! As fantastic as the atmosphere was against Man Citeh, I can't do it again - I was exhausted!

I was hoarse for 2 days after the Citeh game!
I hope we can repeat the atmosphere from the last 3 home games.....but I remember Hull and West Brom being much more tame.
I guess its up to us fans to raise our game too - Portsmouth is a must win, so I'm gonna shout/sing as loud as possible.
GOARRRNN STOKE!

I understand the point about we need something from the players to get the fans going with the noise. Of course, it would be ideal if we get a positive thing to raise the noise rather than a sending off - an early goal would be novel.
However, as fans we can lead the way - see the comment from the guy who mentioned how we rallied the team in the 80th minute against Man. City.
I think we should be as noisy as possible - Delilah at kick off, noise before kick off so that the teams here us in the changing room and we don't need that tannoy led song or commanding to sing a long. It's the one thing that we can do something about!
