Would I be right in thinking Mr Knowles that Dicko has now returned from his loan at Leeds?
I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Grayson said that Stoke didn't want to renew, however the Sentinel were hinting at an extra month (with a 24hr recall), but there has been no official word from Stoke (what's new there!!)

From what I believe, Dicko returned to Stoke yesterday, after Leeds had lost to Hereford.

From what I believe, Dicko returned to Stoke yesterday, after Leeds had lost to Hereford. Got to wonder why we've recalled Dicko with Higgy apparently back to fitness? Do we think he'll go Higgy LB, Pugh LM and Cresser RM? Surely not?

Perhaps it is to allow Sonko to go out on loan (Reading are sniffing around him)? If Ryan/Abdy were injured then Higgy could move inside and Dicko can play at left back.
Just an idea ???

The deal will kick in on Friday, with the winger staying in SE7 until after the game with Preston North End at The Valley on Saturday, March 21st, although Stoke can recall the star at 24-hours notice during that time.
The Addicks will then have the option to extend the loan for another month until the penultimate game of the season at Derby County on Saturday, April 25th.www.charlton-athletic.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=33812&newstype=p

might get some money back on him in the summer. is it only me who thinks Sores is really really poor? I disagree LordB. I think given time and this obvious loan spell, Soares definately has potential for us. We werent expecting him to lighten up the Premier League were we? he has shown glimpses enough I feel to become a future star with us, personally, I would be dissapointed if we cashed in on him in the summer. I feel he has a lot to give Stoke.

he played well for us against spurs, getting us both penalties - showed potential anyway!

might get some money back on him in the summer. is it only me who thinks Sores is really really poor? He's shown flashes of being a really good player (Spurs, Sunderland and when he came on at Blackburn) and with him being young as well he has time to find his consistency. A few months in the championship will do him no harm and he will keep improving with regular games. Should we go down and people like Etherington want to leave then we would have a very good wide midfielder to try and take us back up. Think of it as more of a long-term investment

Apparantly there are question marks over his fitness at both Stoke's end and Charlton's.
Also, Dicko is definately back.

The only flashes of goodness that I have seen from him was the second half of the second half against Spurs, his confidence was sky high and he really upped his performance. However, since than I have thought he has been very disapointing not offering much of himself at all, though in his defence he has not yet played a game for us in his correct position.

In his first game against Spurs I though he was excellent, very lively going forward and always positive plus he earned us two penalties. Since then however, I think he has probably been asked to track back and cover the full-backs in the way that TP likes his wingers to and most attacking players find i difficult to do. Because of this, he seems to have lost his confidence and seen his performance level dipped.
He's still only young, and if he's enjoying his time at Charlton, which he seems to be doing, then it can only do his confidence good, plus he is geting good experience of a relegation fight, which is what he'll return to when he comes back to Stoke.

HE earned us all 3 points against Spurs. But isn't he best played in CM? CAM to be precise? Does anyone else think he should be given a go in CM to give us that touch of creativiy desperatly needed?

The top and bottom of it is he isnt a winger he is a central midfielder and until he plays there he wont shine.

Soares played a massive part in the 3 points gained against Spurs and looks a decent player to me. However I'm sure there's an awful lot of unseen things that I as a fan am unable to see that he doesn't do well enough.
