Scott Carson? Jimmy Bullard?
I wonder if Phil Brown thinks he’s in with a shout of winning, the self indulgent c**t?

is it indictitive of a poor, average or more open premiership season where there is a lack of outstanding candiates particulary from attacking players?

I'd go for Vidic. It's true that this season has been one for the defenders. Last season there were 24 0-0 draws in the league, there have been 27 already this.

Vidic will win it, but Heskey has had a good season. No doubt that cunter Gerrard will figure somewhere.

Why would that be? It's the manager who picks the players and the system. I think Heskey was a major factor in Wigans good season and he earned himself a move to a club who looks like they will be playing Champions League next season. Plus he's back for England.

Because he's employed largely in the same way as Mama (who was a large factor in our success last season and this).

Heskey has been impressive- I do think that Giggs will figure due to him possibly retiring. Kind of honary Oscar.
Personally think Carson has made way too many howlers this season.

Does anybody else think that if Ab. Faye was playing at Arsenal/Villa he'd be in with a shout at the award. I really cant remember him putting a foot wrong his season and he has made some brilliant last ditch sliding tackles/blocks which have earned us points.
