okay the 'professional' is only a torquay coach. and okay he was coaching University of Plymouth Ladies Football Club, but last night whilst training, he coached; 'if you see and attacker running in and you know you cant get there, just run into them and fall over, it doesnt always work, but the amount of times a referee gives the defender the free kick is enough to make this tatic effective. Believe me, I teach this to the pros!'
disgraceful.

I doubt he's the only one, that's the depressing thing. Warnock has openly admitted he encourages his players to do it in the past. Mourinho clearly condoned his players cheating and harassing officials at Chelsea.

It's basically snowballed down the years, one team does it and get away with it, so another team thinks, "well, if they do it we better do it", I'd guess most managers tell that to their players these days.

Lots of stuff like that goes on.
My best mate from years ago went on to be a pro footballer (Ian Butterworth) and he played against Stoke with Coventry when we had Chamberlain playing at his brilliant best.
Cov won 3-0 and Chambo was pants and when I saw Buttie later that night I told him he was lucky cos Chambo had his worst ever game for us. Buttie told me his boss (I think it was Dave Sexton) had told him to kick Chambo early on and he'd have an easy game. He did and he did!

Well didnt Jaap Stam say in his autobiography that Ferguson encouraged Manure players to dive? He was at Manure at the time so not as if he was out to get them, he was almost immediately sold to Lazio as a result
