Given the no of players signed last summer and the amount did anyone really think that 1/2 of our first team would be from last season
Griffin Shawcross Higginbotham (sort of, not exactly unproven, taking a chance signing) Delap Diao Cresswell
If we include Fuller, Mama and Lawro who Pulis seemed to fancy a while back then he basically wasted god knows how much of St Peter's money

Higginbotham was a summer signing; don't think you can count him

You can't really count Higginbotham. Shawcross, Diao and Delap definitely deserve to be in the side on merit so I've no problem with them being in. Griffin is now seemingly third choice behind Kelly and Wilko leaving only Cresswell to discuss, and I think there's enough threads about him.

I didn't expect to see much of Griffin at all, although I think he has played better this season than he did last season in the Championship. He still gets caught out every now and again (who doesn't?) but I think he has really stepped his game up.
Shawcross, Higgy, Delap & Diao I expected to figure one way or another. I certainly wouldn't have worried about Higgy & Ryan being regulars (and I still don't).
As for Creswell, I expected him to act as striker cover. Not feature anywhere near as much as he has, and certainly not in other positions like midfield. Although I always expected to see him due to the amount of suspensions that Fuller pics up coupled with the fact that you are bound to pick up injuries. I still think he gets a raw deal of many fans, and is seen as a scapegoat for a poor away record when most of it is down to defensive error, but having said that, I'm suprised he gets a game as much as he has.
Other players like Pugh & Wilko I'm happy to see play, as they will inevitably improve with every game they play.
