with mama coming back from injury and probably being involed on saterday in some capacity it has just occured to me why most of us love big mama. its because he totally epitimises what stoke city is.
no real quality, hes hated by most people for his hard attitude, he works hard. he loves the club, he would walk through fire if it meant he got a goal. but most importantly he reguarly runs himself into the ground for the club each and every match. all this and without the praise he disserves
MAMA i salute you

i will cheer this guys return more than anybodys. He deserves a heros welcome. he's been through a bit last couple of years with the mali incident and people doubting his ability, but he's always stuck at it. I get the feeling that it doesn't matter whether its sunday league, premiership, international level he will always go about his business the same way and give defenders a right fucking seeing to (in a none gay way that is) in the process. Go on mama lad you are quite rightly a stoke city cult hero and i for one have fucking missed you.

I agree with some of what you say, but although Mama's by no means a glamourous player, and definitely not a goalscorer, he is undoubtebly skilled in his main role in the team, IE to win headers and hold up play.
Also, you say ''hes hated by most people for his hard attitude''. I'd be surprised if you can find me one person who hates Mama.

no real quality, the lad has by far the best control at the club, we need mama back and i hope he is ready for next Saturday, we should go with him Bettie and camera that would cause a few head aces

He's going to get a brilliant welcome back from us on Saturday and he's earned every bit of it, I agree, he represents everything that's good about the club and the team.

stokie5554...like Cresswell does so having both in the team means NO GOALS and certain relegation? Mamma scored at Newcastle - 1 point Mamma scored against West Brom - 3 points Mamma scored against Villa - 3 points Mamma assisted Delap against Spurs - 3 points Now take away those 10 points and look where we'd be you doom and gloom twat.

Agree with what you say OP except that he's not skilful, have a close watch of him and how he controls the ball. The big man has everything, he's really a class above.

You're logic is floored. Those incidents were worth 7 points not 10, but even then who's to say that whoever might have played instead of Mama wouldn't have 'created' more than 7 points? And you have to include all the matches he played in not just those where he happened to 'create' some points. It will be great to have him back in the squad but Mama is not the saviour you know. I fear as soon as he is back Pulis will make the team play even more one dimensionally. PS, and surely it's Mama not Mamma!

what better of a role model as well? Came out of child problems and drug dealing friends to become a PREM CLASS (for our style anyway) striker.
I LOVE MAMA SIDIBE !!!!!!!!!!

i've said it time and time again, if mama could finish regularly he'd be playing for one of the top 8 without a doubt.
the man is gifted with incredible skills, and its only a shame he cant find the back of the net a bit more.
never forget his first goals against norwich, and of course the brace versus bristol last year.
and who could forget that 94th minute in late august?
he's a stoke legend!!
