Has anyone been before? Me and a few mates are thinking about going this summer, wonder if anyone has any tips/advice. Whats the best way of getting there, etc. We're tempted by the train providing its a reasonable price. Line up includes- Oasis, Kings of Leon, Paul Weller, Killers, Franz Ferdinand Thanks in advance

very tempted messen, was only talking to someone last weekend about it as he's been a few times, sounds fucking great, spend all day on the beach, wander back to see the bands at night, start again the next day.His main bit of advice was to try to get there earlyish to get a camping space in the orange groves for the shade as the late comers get left out in the open , which is a bit uncomfortable in the morning when the sun comes up and you'r hungover, anyone who has been camping in southern europe will know what i'm, talking about. Love me festivals, done most, Glasto, V, Isle of Wight , Leeds etc etc but really fancy Benicassim..... fuck it...... just convinced myself to do it... Espania here i come!

Think I'll see you there mate it sounds quality. Just off to the pub now to try and convince my mates but shouldn't be too hard! Block11- was thinking train to Paris, then overnight train to Barcelona. Hoping its not too much as you can get a youth ticket if you're under 26

I went in 2007. I caught a flight from Bristol to Valencia, festival coach to the site. Then caught a train from Beni station the following tuesday (I think) to Barcelona for a couple of days there (one night spent on the streets due to not finding a hotel). From my experience, and speaking with literally hundreds of other people that have been at least once, I would say that Valencia is the best airport to travel to/from. Also, buying train tickets/reserved seating on trains is a waste of time, you won't get your train out of there. It was so jam packed at the station (think not much bigger than Stone station) and peopl were falling onto the track in the crush to get on. Few pointers: Get coaches put on by the festival. Don't take stuff you would normally take to a British festival - stove, dried food, trousers, or even a tent tbh. A huge amount sleep in hammocks. Don't buy class a's out there, you'll get ripped off. The green is good, and the cerveza is fantastic. Sleep well before going, you'll be getting little over the week there. You're up all night watching music, and it's too hot to sleep during the day. I went out there on my own and had one of the best times. I recommend it! Any more questions, ask. And, enjoy
