Surely Hughes ain't gonna be there much longer and they did try get him before when Sven was sacked.
The fact he is in the UK now which was supposedly always the reason before he never took an english job makes it a pretty obvious choice.
I wonder what odds could be got on it?

Makes sense to be honest. Big name manager and I feel Robinho would be even more destructive with Big Phil in charge

Hughes and Man City is a classic case of the tail wagging the dog.
I think he's had enough, and I expect him to go within the next week or so.

He looked extremely fed up at full time today, the face of a man who knows his time is running out very quickly

Robinho is a faggot, at home with space to play he can flick the ball and score the odd goal or two but he is a bit part player, you'll all have noticed how Wilko shut him out at Stoke, and how he was completely usless today, and vs Bolton ...

will he walk though, or will hang about for the oil money.

Hang for the oil money. Hughes is a fighter and won't admit defeat, if he goes he will be sacked after giving his all. Fact is Man City isn't a Mark Hughes team, in the same way that Brazil isn't a Tony Pulis team.
If Hughes is allowed to build his own players who fight then he will be successful.

Hughes is not a big name manager as Scolari - would Kaka have gone to Man City if big Phil was in charge?

Hughes is not a big name manager as Scolari - would Kaka have gone to Man City if big Phil was in charge? You would probably think so especially if the rumours about Robiniho talking him out of the move were slightly true. Scolari, Robinho, Kaka and Elano - it would of been like little Brazil!

It will be Mourinho, nailed on certainty. He wants to stick two fingers up at Abramovich and the Arabs can give him the means.

I don't think Scolari will want to manage in England again, especially not at Man City who seem to give their managers 1 season.

Scalari would be a fool to go citeh, It'd be another poison chalice job just like Chelski, unless he won every single trophy with them, he'd be out in a year.

Some managers are just suited to one club i.e Hughes and Blackburn and don't realise it until they leave.
In a way I feel a bit sorry for him tbh, seems one of the more decent men in football!
