His brother went to Edensor was in the 5th year whe we were in the second. John used to have knock about on the green with us when we were kids

Blond full back wasn`t he,late 70`s I think.Seem to remember him playing in the team that begain the season 78/79 before Geoff Scott.

John Divid Lumsdon right back. 26 +2 apps. Born Newcastle-upon-Tyne. 30th July 1956. Career Potters. apprentice July 1972 Professional August 1973. Port Vale on loan March to May 1979. Telford United 1978-1980. Right back John Lumsdon graduated through the junior ranks at the Vic and played 28 games in two years never really held down a first team place. Information from The Who's Who of STOKE CITY By Tony Mayyhews there is also another Lumsdon we signed from East-Fife only played 6 games never settled and returned to scotland Hope this helps

The 'other' John Lumsden was a midfielder and made frequent reserve appearances
He shared a house with Paul Bracewell in Fairbank Avenue- I know this coz I used to take Braces dog for a walk for him !
