Adam Rooney? You thought he was gonna be big? Yeah, he scored four times in his first 200 or so minutes of football for us! I remember us playing Millwall at home in the FA Cup in January 2007 and everyone was singing his name wanting him to be brought on. He was put under too much pressure too young IMO. nothing to do with pressure he was just wank I always thought. he got a hat-trick against a shit relegated team and then everyone thoguht he was better than he was, no suprise really that he's in some shit league now.

What, the SPL? Though I suppose if it's not Old Firm there it's not much.

What ever happened to that icelantic GK we had on loan for a while pre-2002. His name escapes me.

That would be Birkir Kristinssin, he played eighteen times for us in 2001, then went back to play for a couple of Icelandic teams, one called Knattspyrnufélagið Fram. He's 44 now, so long retired.

Ian Moores Biggest disappointment though for me was Mark Chamberlain - he could have had everything the game had to offer. When we won in Brazil 2-0 and Barnes scored his wonder goal, it was Chamberlain who was named man of the match! Agreed. Thought Chamberlain was going to be an absolute legend.

Peter Fox, a great goalkeeper and if not for a back injury I think when we got relegated would have gone to someone like West Ham at the time, not that they are bigger than us just they were in a league higher, and Foxy should have played for England but for some reason that flying pig (shilton) stole all the limelight bloody shocking Foxy's back injury came at the time when Forest were in for him and when he was just about to break into the England squad... if he hadnt have been injured, Robson would have taken him on a end of season tour instead of Spink... Spink got the nod and was in and out of the set up for several years to come. crying shame really...

I thought Larus would go on to great things but went off the boil completely. Can remember him having a mare in a 4-1 home defeat v Bristol Rovers when he made Whittle look like Maldini.
Chamberlain agree. Was excellent v Brazil and the next game v Uruguay- robbed their midfielder- skipped through the defence and missed a great chance.Would have been a fantastic goal. Got an injury and never looked the same before going to Weds.
Rooney was never convinced about or Crowe.
Vaguely remember Sheldon but was rated very highly I recall.

Was it Joe Jordan that broke Bombers leg up at Leeds? He was looking like he was going to be a great player until his career was ended, a bit like John Devine's by that Eric Young.

Yes it bloody was. It was in front of Waddo and he heard the crack and dived out of the dugout. Jordan visited him in hospital.

Neil Adams - big move to Everton, but slipped away to Norwich and then Oldham. Steady career, but not the top division regular he looked like he could be.

You can't really include Hoekstra or Shtaniuk, both were coming towards the end of their careers when they joined us. Besides, is playing for Ajax and Holland not making it big?

Commons has to be the most satisfying one for me because of all the fuss he made before he left. He looked very good when he first got into the side for us. Then he got his move to Forrest who promptly got relegated. TWAT!!
