lawrence was reportedly livid at the man city game, then against sunderland he stormed out of the dressing room when he found out diao was playing after weeks in the wilderness. surely it aint good for the dressing room, when one of the best players at the club aint happy. lawrence needs to be playing for us, he is a matchwinner, he creates and scores vital goals, get him playing before its too late, if he aint starting saturday ill pull my hair out. lawrence or cresswell?? no brainer really is it? unless your pulis

I've heard from a very reliable source that he is not fit yet, he came back from his injury with a bit of extra weight and needs to lose some and get his fitness up before he gets a game

I don't think you can say he cant run. His work rate against Man city was fantastic. He was prob the best bloke Pulis could have bought on in THAT situation. As an all rounder though he ain't good enough. I honestly believe Pulis thinks he is the best option at the moment due to other injuries/suspensions. We will see against Pompey as all players except Fuller are meant to be back to full training from Monday.

The article does not address the inconsistencies of our manager
He has a record of playing players who are NOT fit, sometimes at a great cost
e.g. Griffin v. WHU - gave a goal away because he couldn't stand up! he has also played Faye and Higgy in games where they have had to come off prematurely because they were carrying injuries

its become a self fulfilling prophey by Mr P because wotht he best will in the world Liam will be ring rusty when he now plays so wea re potentialy 5 or so games form where he could be, As bad is Kitson who payed well againt Liverpool ran hios socks off thats enogh for Creswell and hasnt played since bar two minutes at Chelsea a result that now looking far form the moral victory some saw on the day Lets see the team next week and if its as a, number fear lets not have the usual bollocks about he got us promoted total support etc, let nature take its course and things going well fine not so well the manager has to live the consequences ,only once have the crowd influenced him and that was Barnsley away two years ago and if thats what it takes so be it As ive said before nothing would please me more than Creswell dancing round James to seal a victory by latching on to a defence splitting pass from diao

Well even if there is such a time, there's other players I'd sooner see getting a run out before Cresswell resumes his 'role'..... ..begging for Cresswells return to the first eleven? I don't think there's many who would to be honest......

He always plays with one natural wide man and a defender/striker/CM converted on the other side. Pulis thinks that Salif Diao is the best midfielder "by a country mile" so his sanity is clearly in question. If Pugh is a wide midfielder, I'm Lord Lucan. I have it from a very unreliable source that Lawro has been openly critical of our approach to games, and this is behind his absence since return from injury. Allegedy* he has this whacky idea that we should be trying to win games ;D

In this massive Lawrence love in its conveniently forgotten that whichever rumour you choose to believe (and I know which one I do) he was responsible, through his own negligence/recklessness, for his own injury. At the time he was playing shite. Since he's been out we haven't missed him (on this seasons form). If what you say is right and he's billy big bolloxing round the dressing room in a mardy then the unpalatable truth is he needs fucking off before he poisons the dressing room. It gets on my tits that Fuller is slaughtered on here for his moment of madness but because the club make up some laughable story about his dog Lawrence's petulance is forgiven and he's seen by the blinkered as our great white hopeand his absence is used as a big stick to beat Pulis with. Having said all that I still believe that at his best and fittest he is one of our best players and as such I cannot believe Pulis wouldn't play him if he was fit. All these conspiracy theories are surely crap. If Pulis and Lawrence had fallen out to that extent then a) why has he been on the bench recently and b) why did he not get rid in January or loan him out this week?
The answer is the manager (who is actually in the best position to judge) thinks he's not fully fit so get over it.

LG - I actually agree with the majority of your post.
On the Fuller subject though, I don't think it is "his moment of madness". Fuller has been infuriating some of us for ages. His petulant, mardy, self interested, bone-idle and gobby approach to matches has wound me up for most of the season.
The WH game just allowed people like me to speak our minds, whereas previously I'd get slaughtered for daring to question Ric.

I do agree he does infuriate the the shit out of me at times. When I was playing his 'luxury' type player used to wind me up (I was a box to box aaaard worker) but I knew we needed them because they could produce that individual brilliance to win a game that I never could. I can see that his petulence against WHU has given his detractors the opportunity to openly criticise him but it is the venom with which he has been attacked which gets to me when the likes of Lawrence, Faye, Wilko, Rory and Etherington have all got away scot free for the same if not worse.

LG - I think Fullers downfall (if he has had one) is that in the CCC he was always likely to produce a moment of brilliance, so you could live with his other characteristics.
In the PL, his moments of brilliance have been few and far between, so his negative traits tend to annoy folk more.
If he passed the ball occasionally I'd be happier!

I'm sure Tone has his reasons, but the decision to play Cresswell at S'land baffles me.

Mate I agree entirely. Its just the inconsistent approach on this board to him, and for the purpose of this post, Lawrence, that gets my goat.
