I notice Leeds have got this lad on trial.
It was rumoured we were going to make a move for him after he impressed for Trinidad in the World Cup.
A quick forward, just been released from LA Galaxy....must be worth another look at?

Horrendous injury record?

lord- you are correct, he does have a bad injury record. Is there any harm in trying him for 5 months though?
He might be our Oulare- injured (OK, life threatening blood clot!) for the season and then scores with his arse in the most important match of the season!!!

WELL INDEED
With Rawlins ensconsed in the US game we should be upto speed with players in both MLS & ULS here on in @ least.
Oulare didnt get DVT until after he had signed (& played @ Northampton) although the club stated they had carried out their most extensive medical ever on him - think he had history of knee injuries.
That was compoinded by Martenson breaking his ankle again after we had signed him but before he had played a game.
That season we had the worst injury crisis I can remember the club ever having & we still went up. we were top new years day,if we had an average imjury record from then till May I think we would have won the division easy.

I remember in one game at Huddersfield both Handyside & Gunnarsson broke their metatarsals (before it was fashionable)
How we got up I will never know!

Whatever happened to Marteinson?
I always thought he was a great player whenever he got on the pitch - that contract of his must have had some stupid clause in it!!

Petur Marteinsson plays for KR Reykjavik in Iceland
He's now 34
He was a good little player adn it was a shame his contract ruined his Stoke career

I remember in one game at Huddersfield both Handyside & Gunnarsson broke their metatarsals (before it was fashionable) How we got up I will never know! I went to almost every game back in those days, but don't remember this double foot-break nor a particularly horrific injury record, damn my memory

Banksy- the double foot break didn't seem much at the time. Handyside might have even finished the match if memory serves me right?!
I have a sneeky feeling Rowson might have replaced Gunnarsson but can't be certain.
Both were out for about a month
My memory is strange!

We had a game @ Cardiff aprox Feb where we had something like 15 players out injured.
