As for defenders I think Beckenbaur played the sweeper role superbly, complete footballer imo.

i do also love the two bobbys (Moore and Charlton) What about our very own Neil Franklin.... Moore wasn't fit to lace his boots. I agree about Beckenbauer though..... He was the first defender who would direct play and bring the ball forward....
