...and a class act. Listening to his interview on Radio Stoke tonight made me think what a top professional he is and how I would like that classless (and clueless) twat Ian Wright to have a listen to the tape. That gobshite off TalkSport has slagged Rory to high heaven; at one point stating "That's what Rory Delap does though, kicks people and throws the ball" he even went on to blame Rory for Theo Walcott's continued absence, despite him now being out due to an injury to his OTHER shoulder. Obviously Wright is biased due to his "son" being involved in the incident but his views are an example of what a simple tool he is. Tonight when Rory was asked about SWP's kick, he stated he didn't feel it and felt it would be harsh on him if he ended up suspended as well. Rory also went on to say how he fully deserved his own red and was gutted with himself. I wouldn't expect Ian Wright to ever admit he's wrong about Delap as he isn't a big enough man to and it certainly wouldn't fit into his and that other twats radio "show." Goarn Rory lad.

I remember the day he signed for Stoke and I saw him down the ground, seemed a really down to earth bloke who genuinely enjoyed talking about football.

tbh GNW dressed his 45 kids in Stoke tops. Must have cost him a small fortune. ;D GNW could have saved himself a fortune this season. Looking at the fucking size of the tops in the club shop right now, he could have got all his kids in one of the fuckers.

I took the wife up the north staffs and the nurse who was treating her noticed the stoke badge on my jacket. She told me that she was there when Rory came in with his broken leg. Apparently they offered him anaesthetic while they put the two parts of the bone back together.Rory said bugger that just get on with it . Legend

Rory will go down in Stoke folklore. We'll be talking about him to our Grandkids. "There was once a winger who played for Stoke son.. he had many assists and a few goals to his name.. everybody around the country knew his name for his fantastic abilities." "Stanley Mathews?" "No son, Rory Delap, he could throw it for fucking miles" ;D

it was the day of the CHelsea game. A villa lad I kow saw Rory and family out walking in deepest Derbyshire where he lives.
His daughter had a SToke top on.
Nowt strange about that? Tyhe bloke was at home and his kid still had a STokle top on. No photo opportunity there and I bet on a Prem players wages she could be all Armani-d eup. But no, she had a SToke to on.
Down to earth bloke, the sort who you'd go for a beer with. Plays through pain, out of position for us. No frills, no show pony, just does the job to the best of his ability. Ok, he was reckless last week, but he was sticking up for Matty ETherington after that tw@ almost took him at the shin. Great to see Pughey getting stuck into Richards too - greatv to see the lads in it together. Only a small bloke but Pughey let Richards know that noone f*** with this team.
Absolute f***** SToke top bloke is Rory.
