A while back though wasn't it?
Beattie and Cisse would have been immense.
Staying that, Im still well chuffed with our options upfront anyhow.

He really would have been an awesome signing but I can't say I'm too disappointed with Beattie

cisse might look bloody weird at times bus jesus h xhrist when he's on form he is very dangerous. we will have to stick to him like glue tomorrow and not give him any space at all as not only does he have a pretty ferocious shot on him but hes bloody quick too. perhaps he needs his leg breaking agaig? only joking.

He's toss since he bost his leg. This would have been yet another Pulis blunder along with Kitson and many other of his signings

He's struggling to form a partnership with Jones for us though. They are both getting goals however as they are both talented players in their own right! On his day he is scary though, and I've rarely seen shots hit with such power with little or no backlift!

I think he has broken both his legs if memory serves. One at liverpool and the other at marseilles I think. correct me if I'm wrong.

Its not a big deal scoring more goals than any of our strikers is ! But you said he'd have been a bad signing and a donkey, when in fact he's outscored the players we've got and has a very respectable goals tally already this season. He didn't cut it at Liverpool, it doesn't make him a bad player.

scored plenty goals since failing at Liverpool
maybe not A list as he once seemed he was going to be but would walk into our side (alongside Beattie)
only on loan too so you never know.

He is frighteningly quick. He just runs and shoots early with power rather than placement, he has scored 9 prem goals plus 1 cup and must of hit the woodwork half a dozen times. His shots are usually there or thereabouts on target.
Not really formed a partnership with Jones, but the last couple of games it there seems to be a better understanding between them. The midfield haven't really been supplying him the balls he needs so makes his goal tally even more respectable.
Doesn't do a lot else for the team so you get whats on the tin, nothing more nothing less, if he gets a run at the CH / FB in the game you will see what I mean, although he is reported to be carrying a knock on his ankle from last week.

Would he have suited our style of play? Don't see why he couldn't play the Fuller role? Plus with Ethers in the team we have service from the flanks.
