It helps somewhat if we have a focus a la SWP/Robinho However, i've got a bit of career advice for Pennant to help with the intimidation levels

Is this a stupid thing to say?
I'm kinda hoping that Pompey get a draw with Liverpool on Saturday.
I know it's a bit daft to suggest that I hope one of our relegation rivals picks up a point against one of the top four, but I just fear that if they lose against the scousers then Adams will be gone before they get to our place, what with the break and all.
I'd rather they picked up a point on Saturday so that when they come to us they aren't fired up by the arrival of a new manager and we have a far better chance of picking up three.
Thoughts?

Nah Paul he will not be expected anything from Liverpool even the owners will know that...I d however think if they come away from the Bear Pit with nowt but a spanked arse then he will be signing on again.

I said that earlier in the week too, Paul. It works for me

I agree here, Paul! Adams has potentially been given an 11th hour reprieve (i thought he'd be a gonner by 5.20 on deadline day) with his next 3 games. Theoretically, if they get clobbered by the Poo..he may well get booted out, and i have a feeling it'd be Avram Grant in the dug out at the Brit. So if they can maintain a draw or concede only 1...he may still be in the gaffer seat against us
