Saw this on the BBC 606 Forum (Sunderland Page): comment by monty987 (U13643147) posted 1 Hour Ago
I believe stoke, wigan, spurs, sunderland, bolton, fulham, possibly blackburn will stay up.Stokes home record should keep them up,but i think they will finish with one of the worst away records in premier league history.I do think it will be boro, newcastle, wba, might go down and portsmouth just surviving.Everton to win the F A cup,man u the carling cup & premier league and champions league, because of their defence.Full Thread - Click HereWho currently holds the record for the worst away form and do you think we will beat it (if we haven't already)?

Derby's last year must've been pretty poor.

I have no idea! I have never really looked that closely at the Premier League (untill this year of course ;D ) In the past i have only ever shown a passing interest tbh.

On the flip side, we must be on course for one of the best ever home records for a promoted side.

Didn't Leeds fail to win away all season in the Prem's first year? How long did it take Sunderland last season?

Didn't Norwich go a whole season with out getting a single point? they went 41 AWAY games without a win wow. that is fuckin awful. mind you, i suppose we can't look down on it, the way we're playing away from home it wouldn't surprise me if we beat that record

I'm preety sure Derby only got 2 points away from home last season, A draw at castle and draw at Fullham, Sunderland got 2 wins and 2 draws 8points - 1 of the draws against derby Reading 10 points - 1 of the wins against Derby

On the flip side, we must be on course for one of the best ever home records for a promoted side. .......or more worrying, we may be on course for one of the best home records for a relegated side. We need minimum 5/6 more points away from home IMO and continue the good run at home.

Premier League Table 2007/2008According to that Derby won none away and drew only 3. Could that be the winner? Edit: Not quite. As far as I can see we have equaled that so far. Draws at Liverpool, Wigan and Newcastle.

Funny seeing that most of the comments are saying that Stoke will be staying up.

YAY! ;D I don't think they do. It pisses them off know end that they have to play us again next year! They wrap it up as if they just hate the fact that they have to watch our brand of football (that is damaging to the game ) again but we all know theyre just shitting themselves really ;D

Quote from that article
"Pointless journeys
31 away league games for Fulham without a win (Premier League record)
£300 possible extra spending on programme, food, drink by travelling Fulham fans
£900 approximate cost in tickets
£2,000 estimated cost in petrol for a fan taking a car to games"
Actualy total spent by average fulham fan £0 because they don't go to away games
didnt they take a little over a hundred to sunderland this year. Shit away form a coincidence?
Certainly not a problem for us, we must be cursed or something I blame the cursed one .. dave kitson
