when we drop 14 more points, assuming man united don't pick up any more by then. (More realistically, when the sum of points we drop and the sum of points man u gain equals 14). Changes slightly if someone else is leading the league but can't be bothered to work it out. Like your thinking though  |

I don't have it here, but there's a website that has a page showing a league of highest/lowest possible finishes and points totals for all clubs. I think it might be on football365.com. I should add it to my favourites next time someone posts it as I can never find it when I want to look...'tis quite interesting to look at once we start getting towards the end of the season.
