Hull - 15 Pmouth - 15 Stoke - 17 Mboro - 17 WBA - 22
It is very conceivable that a team will go down on goal difference.
With our run in you would hope that the GD of those teams around us would be worse than ours at the end of the season.
It is going to be close down there !!

i think it may come down to goal difference between 3rd and 4th bottom but as we won't be in either position it won't affect us

Stoke could easily get another spanking thats a silly thing to say unfortunately
upto now we have been conceding 2/3 goals almost every away game
hopefully now we can score a few away & maybe we can get our noses in front & defend a lead somewhere

The goal differences seem to be levelling out a bit now (at one point we were quite a way adrift). Hopefully we can win the odd game by two clear goals (or more!) and, when we lose, keep it tight.

even though we've played most of the "big games", most teams in this league are capable of turning us over if we are not careful.

We could do with dishing out one spanking ourselves at some stage, (well 3 or more) but it seems highly, highly unlikely.

Very true. Thats why I am approaching Saturday very carefully, although compared to the Blackburn game (Allardyce effect mainly as we may well of done them should Ince been in charge still) we have a much more balanced squad now. Im guessing we may of had Pericard on the bench back then, now we have the luxury of maybe Fuller, Camara and a Kitson sat there, says it all really.

We go to Villa soon; they're quite capable of administering the odd dry-bumming.

I've been going on about this for a while, three or four games in the autumn where we didn't know how to shut up shop at the level could honestly send us down on GD. But as knowles says, it's starting to level out and if we could get say two 2-0s and no spankings over the next month we'd be looking a lot better.

Very true a battering is still distinctly possible.
I'm also weary of Sorensen's comments regarding our run in - I don't think it matters that much who you play (as we have taken 3 points from Villa and Arsenal, and two from Liverpool, so 8 of our 24) Therefore I don't think players should be thinking along those lines!

Don't see our goal difference improving massively as we tend to win by a single goal, but, continue to do that, and goal difference wont matter. Don't forget our rivals have still got to play the top 4 or 5 teams more than us, so there goal difference could get considerably worse
