----------Sorro-------
Wilko--Faye--Ryan--Pugh
Camara--Whelan--Faye--Ethers
----Beattie---Kitson
Camara played out wide right a few times at Wigan, and did good for them.

Wouldn't argue with that team although I imagine Beattie w/ Camara or Fuller up top is more likely with Kits on the bench. I would like to see Kits play w/ Beattie though

-------------------------Sorensen------------------------- Wilko--------Ab Faye---------Shawcross------Pugh/Higgs
Lawrence----Whelan-----Am Faye-----Etherington
------------Camara---------Beattie--------------------
SUBS: Simonsen, Cort, Sonko, Olufinjara, Kitson, Cresswell, Pugh (if no Higgy, otherwise Griffin), Fuller
Think Tone needs to think long and hard about including Griff - I like him, but he is costing us goals and becoming a bit of a liability defence wise - doesn't commit to the tackle, backs off too far as afraid of being skinned, ends up in the box and always looks likely to give a penno away! Was lucky at the weekend, even if Richards was looking for it - too clumsy)
Pugh is good cover for LB or LM/CM
Kitson cover up front, Cort cover at CH.
He won't drop Cressers so might as well leave him in the squad :-)
Think if he doesn't play Liam with Rory being banned then thats a clear signal that the end is nigh for LL
EDIT: Forgot about Fuller! Feck! Mind you, his sulking and ill fitting boots are annoying me lately, so if dropped then nothing to lose sleep over. He should get back to doing what he does best - running and defenders and scoring goals.
Don't think Kitson will start many games, although would like him to get on and score - think he would score a few after getting his first. Has more chance with wingers in the side!

After spurs I think he might go 4-5-1 at Sunderland:

Wilko.............Ab Faye..................Shawcross.............Pugh
.................Whelan......Amdy Faye.......George
Camara............................................................Etherington
................................Beattie

-------------------------Sorensen------------------------- Kelly (IF signed)--------Ab Faye---------Shawcross------Pugh
Lawrence----Whelan-----Am Faye-----Etherington
------------Fuller---------Beattie--------------------
SUBS: Simonsen, Cort, Sonko, Olufinjara, Kitson, Cresswell, Higginbotham/Griffin, Camara, Wilkinson
Was tempted to stick Camara on from the start, but Sunderland can be abit slow and shaky at the back sometimes, so maybe a bit of Fuller pace (if he can be arsed) will undo them.

I cant see him going 4-4-2 after he said we need to change the way we play away from home, I get a awful feeling that he will pick Cresswell before Lawrence. I just hope we haven't agreed to let Lawrence go to Birmingham on loan to get their first choice (when fit) right back in.

my team and TP's team, i have the feeling, are going to be very different........
Mine
Sorro Wilko Ryan Abdy Pugh Camara Lawrence Amdy Ethers Fuller Beattie
on the basis that our away form is crap and if we're going to lose we might aswell do it attacking.
TP's Team
Sorro Wilko Ryan Adby Higgy Cressy Whelan Amdy Ethers Fuller Beattie
On the basis that he's a stubborn man and will rarely attack away from home

Same team as Man C, with Lawrence in for Delap. What FM said. Now Rory's out, I just cant see how Pulis can leave Lenny out any longer. As for all these calls to play Camara on the wing, then I have to say I really am perplexed. I asked these question on another thread but they probably seem more appropriate on this one. Does anybody know how often Camara has played on the right wing? Has he had a consistent run there? How effective has he been in that position? Has he got a cross on him? How good is he at protecting his full back? etc. Cheers

I don't think Lenny will start, think its more likely he will start Cresswell.
Camara has played on the wing for Wolves and Senegal, not sure how often he has played there.
I imagine with his pace he is quite effective there, whether it be getting to the byline or cutting inside.
I can only see him playing wide if there are 3 centre mids all of whom i would think would be defensive (not Lawrence).
Protecting his full back could also be leveled at Lawrence, when he was in the team Griffin was left exposed a lot and got a lot of shit. When Lawrence was injured Griffin was getting praise for his performances.
I think having Camara and Etherington playing will offer us more options regarding counter attacks as we will no doubt be sitting back for most of the game.

I agree Camara on RW is a slight possibility in a 5 man midfield so his tracking back responsibilities are reduced but in a 4-4-2 it won't happen and neither should it in my opinion.

No way it will happen in a 4-4-2 but cant see Lawrence starting either, I really hope he doesn't go for seyi on the right again with Cresswell up front with Beattie but I get the feeling he might.

Why wont he start Lawrence for??! christ sake Tony, he's a right winger!! why persist with the choice of either a striker or a central midfielder, either of which aren't very threatening and cannot cross a ball?
WHY!?

I'll be gutted if Cresswell starts on Saturday, especially after all the transfer activity and also now that Lenny is fit.
I've got nothing against the lad personally, but his presence in the starting XI sends out all the wrong signals to me about how Tone is intending to approach the game.
There's a big difference between bringing him on when we're in the lead and down to 10 men to starting the game when it's 0-0 and it's eleven a side.

I wouldn't play Cresswell on the right (although I think Tony will) but I wouldn't play Camara there either - do we even know if he's played there that often?
I'd keep the same team that played Man City, only with Kelly (if fit), Lawrence and Camara in for Wilko, Delap and Fuller.
