To anyone who was waiting for the French Midfielder today I apologise, obviously I got it wrong. Probably largely due to wishful thinking on my part.
Anyway comeon Stoke, lets beat Sunderland

I was told yesterday we were trying to sign 2 players that are based in France. Your info was right, it's just that the deals didn't come off.

No need to appologise, if you get stick for posting information and it doesn't come off then so beit! The problem is your info is at best just guesswork, many deals are considered only a few come off and this time the so called "people in the know" were way of the mark

No need to appologise, if you get stick for posting information and it doesn't come off then so beit! So is it okay for anybody to post anything at all that somebody tells them, without considering how accurate the information might be that they have posted?

Personally I'm interested in anything i'm told if there is an element of truth in it.

If it's an actual done deal, you'll have the official text with a few hours anyway. By your argument there is no point posting anything as we'd all know when it is "official" anyway

I guess it really comes down to what criteria you personally use when you decide if the information you have been given is accurate enough to post on a public message board.

apologising is a sign of weakness No, it's a sign of strength, it takes a bigger man to apologise his mistakes than one to hide behind them. Ask Prseident Obama ;D Already apologising for hiring staff to sort out his budgets who have been evading paying taxes

I have no friends and even fewer people want to talk to me about Stoke so I depend on my internet friends who have contacts to make my life have some meaning. Otherwise I'd depend on Sky Sports News to give me updates every minute on the Arshavin deal on the outside chance they call Gerry Francis for an update and put a beautiful picture of him on the bottom of the screen.
