Well, you have to say that our chairman has given TP the keys to the kingdom as far as stoke's survival chances are concerned. The managers of Brazil and Dull must be looking on in envy at the players we have signed - Beattie, Etherington, Camara, Kelly. We also must have one of the biggest squads in the premiership.
We have a real chance now and looking at the fixtures list, we should be targeting a run of wins to pull us clear of relegation.
The new signings should consign Creswell and Griffin to the bench and give us a more attacking edge. All that we need now is for TP to have the balls to play to win away from home.
I am hopeful however - this is traditionally the time of year when Stoke recover from January-itis and put a run together, when fitness and running counts. I think we will win at Sumdderland and push on.

Agree, nothing to do now but get right behind the players we've got. Set out the right way I belive our current squad is capable of keeping us up and with the players we've got and if we do stay up some good signings with the better players we've got, next season will be very interesting.

This is NOT a negative comment, I'm feeling really positive after the window too but to be fair our squad's still pretty thin on strong creative midfielders...

Midfielders - it all depends on the set up - Lawrence, Etherington, Whelan on his day, with defensive midfielders alongside like Diao or AFaye. That's not bad. I also think Lawrence could reak havoc in the 'hole' behind our strikers if TP was feeling adventurous.

Well, Pulis teams have always gone in for long winning/unbeaten or losing runs, we haven't had the winning one yet this season so let's hope it started at the weekend eh...

I think if Lawrence can get back to something like his best form and if Pulis is prepared to play both him and Etherington in the same side then the lack of a creative central midfield presence might not be too much of an issue. However I do appreciate that there are two damn big IFS in that sentence.

If Lawrence was not going to be part of things, then surely we would have seen him depart on Monday?

I do think we will have to wait for Pompey at home before we see the front line in full force. TP will want a little longer to bed in the foramtions that he has yet to get his head round let alone the players adapting to it.
But the noises being made on the MB must be reflecting what the team and staff think.
Be as radical as you can be TP and I'm sure results will come. Players will respond to the challenge.
C'mon Stoke!

Well you're right there Trumpton but with the new players, we can now enjoy playing fantasy line-ups. It will be interesting to see how TP plays with his new found toys, particularly away from home when he puts his ultra-cautious defend at-all-costs head on.

Hey i'm pretty positive myself it was just a funny statement in the mould of "If we score more goals we'll win" ;D

Assuming the Kelly deal goes through, I think we have made 4 excellent signings in January. It is a shame we failed in our attempts to get a creative midfielder in, but we have plenty of midfielders and it is now time for them to show what they can do.
We have put ourselves in a great position after the dreaded January fixtures to beat the drop, and if we do go down (which we wont) we would only have ourselves to blame, considering run in.

well, at the begining of jan i would have snapped someones hand off if they offered me 4th from bottom right now. i hope that our home form and 5 points away should see us safe, the arrival of ethers and bt have seriously got the juices flowing again. come on lads, its in your hands now.

I agree, very good squad, everything is in place for survival.
I would have snapped my own arm off to be in this position.
I haven't heard the phrase "Do a Derby for ages."
