Oh dear. Crewe can't even attract a player from the Blue Square now. Perhaps we will have a go for him in the summer?! (Perhaps not Premiership class yet though )

Yeah, I agree. Good on him for staying.
Would be great to see FGR in the Football League- I used to go and see them fairly regularly when I lived down in Gloucestershire a few years ago.
Jim Harvey has done a fantastic job down there....not sure their ground is up to standard though

FGR moved to a new ground (the New Lawn) two years ago, small but very good.
If Dagenham can get in FGR's ground will piss it.
Fleetwood is on a free in the summer - doubt he would go anywhere now unless he gets good money & a realistic probability of playing.
we have been looking at him but if he signed would he be 4th choice?

I only went to the New Lawn last year lordb (when the new stand behind the goal wasn't complete)
The main stand was fairly impressive, but the away stand and other stand were just standing areas. I presume the stand that wasn't complete when I went there improves the ground a bit.
The old Lawn was pretty poor, but never understood why they moved to be honest...maybe they knew Jim was a top boss and would take them up!

1 decent stand is enough to get in these days
there arnt many conference grounds that wouldnt get in.

I dont get it. Maybe the deal fell through because he was probably the highest paid player at FGR and Crewe more than likely wouldnt offer him much more than hes currently on. He probably sees this as a chance to have a longer think in June maybe for championship clubs to come calling.

FGR could make th play offs so he could be in League two next year with them.
If not he gets his free transfer
perhaps he feels he can get a better deal than Crwere are offering come June?

Free transfer = big signing on fee for him if his agent is on the ball.
Or, as said above, he might yet go up with FGR.

Some might say that the 53 fans that went to Swansea deserve better.

in all honesty he could be playing for FGR against crewe next season in league 2 or maybe he wants to sample promotion. good on the lad for staying put and not just moving for a bit more money.
