I know opinions on the board are split on views on Oly (But to be fair so are those of Whelan.
Whelan still isn't producing the form that we all expected IMO and although he had a good game on Saturday, he still went missing for parts.
But is it time now to give seyi another chance, i think he's had alot of un neccasry stick on here, when he picks the ball up he is always looking for a positive pass, but the movent around him hasn't been there, ie cresswell and delap on the wings at times. Now he's got etherington to his left, hopefully a fully fit and focused liam (who will show his form of last year) to his right and beattie, who can hold the ball up, take a man on and get wide players involved in front of him, i think he'll look a lot better player, if he has good 'clever' players around him.
Against Man U away he was immense until he got injured. hard tackles looking for the killer pass, but not been able to so playing it to mama who held it up and got oli involved in a more attacking field

I wouldn't call his performance at United 'immense', although I was impressed with him at Upton Park. I just don't see where he would fit in. Whelan and Amdy are doing a decent job in the centre and, when (if) Salif gets back to fitness he will slot in there too. Add to that Pugh's decent performances and all of a sudden Olly is miles down the pecking order.
One saving grace for him is Delap's suspension and it remains to be seen how much of a part Liam will play between now and the end of the season.
However, all in all, I think Olofinjana has had a fair few chances and, overall, has failed.

it was about 20 i think mate.. but he was looking very good in that game, looked like the link we needed... i think immense was a bit to strong of a word knowles...very good is probably better I can undertsand the "if it's not broke, dont fix it" argument...but still at the same time, a bit of freshening up could be good

Given that TP has talked about changing tactics away from the Brit (specifically referring to strengthening in the middle), perhaps we might see something like:
Sorensen
Kelly - Shawcross - Faye - Higgy
Camara - George - Faye - Whelan - Etherington
Beattie

Depends, if he's allowed to really get forward then yes. Otherwise, if he's going to be playing deeper and asked to do a defensive kind of role then it's just going to further tarnish his reputation amongst some fans.
Him arriving late onto Lawrence and Etherington's crosses could get us some goals, imo. However, I can't really see this being used away from home for obvious reasons.

Sorensen Kelly - Shawcross - Faye - Higgy Camara - George - Faye - Whelan - Etherington Beattie I think if he was to play that, Pugh would get the nod ahead of Seyi.

Seyi for me seemed a little bit of a one trick pony in centre mid, he gets the ball, tries to cut back on his right to lay it off, problem is he generally looses it. True Whelan hasn't had the massive impact I'd hoped of in spreading play and passing it about abit but I wouldn't change a winning team just yet. Suspensions and injuries are yet to play their full part, Delap is obviously out I'd expect others at some stage.

I think he has performed exactly as the Wolves fans said he would, very inconsistent and excellent and awful in equal measures. I like him as a player and wouldnt mind giving him a chance if someone plays poorly or gets injured but at the moment Glenn and Amdy are doing a great job IMO

can someone explain to me why everybody calls him george???? i'm pretty sure i've missed summat there... It's his middle name. We adopted it as a nickname when he signed, as it was easier to pronounce than either "Seyi" or "Olofinjana". ;D

I've seen Olofinjana have one good game - against Villa, and one ok one against Arsenal. Other than that, whenever I've seen him he's veered between anonymous and woeful. Continually loses the ball, never seen him put a weighty challenge in. For those saying they'd have him in the Mama role, why? I've never seen him win a header! At a time when we desperately need a central midfielder to step up and dominate a game, recalling someone who you don't realize is playing until about an hour in would be absolute suicide.

Think it may be this team on sat: Sorro Kelly - Shawcross - Faye - Pugh Camara - George - Faye - Whelan - Etherington Beattie I think playing as a 3 in the centre may also help Georges game allowing him to get forward as he did for wolves without the fear of leaving gaps for the opposition.

Seyi is an absolute waste of 3 million and the worst professional midfielder at the club.
He needs shipping out in the summer for what we can get for him.

Pugh has looked good each time he has played in centre mid. I would pick him ahead of Olly right now. So would I and I would also like to pick him ahead of Whelan who is just filling a hole for me. No great shakes defensively and has produced very little going forward since his brilliant Spurs at home performance. Danny's got a lot more about him and it's about time him and little Faye had a run together in the middle in my opinion.
