From what Sky Sports were saying earlier, this is Lampard's 3rd red card in league games for Chelsea. 2 of those were rescinded and the other was two yellow cards so could not be appealed.
Special treatment, or unlucky to be sent off in the first place. I neither know nor care.

To be fair to Fat Frank it was no where near a red card offence, in fact it wasn't even an offence. He won the ball!

Agreed,Potter. Not even a bookable offence. Took the ball cleanly and there was minumum contact after the ball had gone.

Good. Hopefully he can rip Hull to shreds.

His studs were briefly showing when he went into the tackle, but it was indeed a refereeing error.
Would the ref freely and publicly admit the mistake if it was a Stoke player - I would reckon not...

its fair to send Lampard off anytime for ruining my weekend a few weeks ago his tackle was a good one though but in the same game
Gerrard
1, Did a rory in 1st minute
2 Went through one of their players (apparently accordding to Graham Poll on setanta last night its good refereeing to treat the stars a bit differently !!!!!!!!!! also he said robinsons red should not have been overturned - tosser)
3, Eventually got booked for diving

Good decision by the FA. Don't suppose the ref will get a bollocking for his terrible mistake during the game. Was amazed by Bosingwa's 'studs in the back' challenge near the end. He had lost his head after conceding that late goal. An obvious red card.
As Chelsea's next opponent is Hull - I hope fat Frank gets a hat-trick.

good news, never a red! I still can't believe Bosingwa got away with that at the end...if that was a Stoke player he'd have been sent off and probably had the ban extended!

His studs were briefly showing when he went into the tackle, but it was indeed a refereeing error. Would the ref freely and publicly admit the mistake if it was a Stoke player - I would reckon not... Lampard has rightly had his card rescinded, so fair play to the FA and referee to reverse the initially wrong decision. As for this 'favouritism' - not sure I really agree! Didn't Griffin's red card at QPR last season get rescinded? If it's a mistake, the FA usually correct it at a later date. The fact that Bosingwa got away with his assault shows that this isn't always the case! But SWP's retrospective punishment shows that they do get it right too. I just wish we wouldn't play the victim card so much - makes us look rather bitter and twisted imho. Personally I would still like to see technology being used to clarify sending offs and dubious goals, where the 4th official can review the footage and relay the decision to the ref, a la rugby union.

Mike Reilly phoned up to apologize to Lampard

If that's gen, that Mike Reilly phones Lampard to apologise, it raises a few questions:
a. does he have the phone numbers of all the players of all the clubs he's refereed?
b. if he doesn't have all the players phone numbers, does that display an intolerable degree of bias?
c. wonder when the Premier League and the Referees association will begin that very difficult task of explaining how they are supposed to be impartial?
Bunch of wide eyed tossers.

that card was right to have been taken away. surely they could impose a ban on Bosingwa for his assault on Benayoun?

Not favouritism just a correct decision to overturn.
Yep Griffin mentioned above and Brynar in the FA Cup I remember being overturned for us.
