That would be deserved justice. Well done the Premier League for reviewing the evidence and doing the right thing!

am glad that he gets some sort of punishment the little sh1t but i still think his tackle is more deserving of a ban than his petulance

Although this is good news why didn't the FA do something about a similar incident of petulance on Boxing Day - RONALDO.

The tackle seems to split views. I even heard Graham Poll on Radio 5 call his challenge on Etherington "a nothing tackle".
In slow motion, I thought it looked a very bad one.
Still, at least he gets the ban for his little Beckham kick. So job done!

I agree good news but what about Boswinga it's really a joke that they take action against one player and let others off then they demand respect and consistancy.

perfect.
I am glad he stayed on in hindsight as we won and he was non existent, everytime he got the ball he gave it away straight away.
now I am even more chuffed he is going to face a ban.

It is good that he doesn't escape punishment, but imagine if we'd drawn or lost on Saturday.
All this subsequent punishment does is hinder Man City and just as crucially for us, potentially help our rivals. (I write this without looking at Man City's fixtures btw)
It really is time for video replays so that both teams are treated fairly at the time.

Any chance Rooney's elbow and Ronaldo's petulant kick out can be similarly retrospectively punished too? Thought not.

The FA decided to take no action having reviewed the incident and sadly I expect the same outcaome here The FA have said they CANT take further action because it was seen by the assistant and was punished by way of a free kick. SWP was not punished as he was awarded the free kick and presumably the officials never saw it. Would be nice to see Gerrard punished for the same offence as Delap though but that wont happen.

The Boswinga affair is beyond believe but that is for Chelsea/Liverpool to fret over. Good to hear Sean Wright-Midget has got what he deserves

"Delap reacted to the original challenge by fouling Wright-Phillips and kicking him while he was on the floor. The City winger then kicked Delap which went undetected by Atkinson who made do with a red card for the Stokeman." i swear rory only kicked the ball at him not kicking him on the floor
