Maybe too attacking for a Pulis central midfielder?
Birmingham midfielder Neil Danns has joined Coca-Cola Championship promotion chasers Crystal Palace for an initial £600,000.
The 25-year-old moved to City from Colchester in the summer of 2006 but has struggled to hold down a first-team place and made only 16 starts.
Danns has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Eagles and the eventual fee could rise to £850,000 based on add-ons.
His final appearance for Blues was in the 1-0 defeat at Manchester City in October.
Birmingham manager Alex McLeish had made it clear that Danns and central defender Martin Taylor were surplus to requirements.
McLeish said: "We would like to bring other players in and that's going to hold certain players back.
"Neil is a guy who, at this stage of his career, should be getting first-team football and we wish him all the best."

"Neil is a guy who, at this stage of his career, should be getting first-team football and we wish him all the best." So any mid 20 year old at a club should be capable of first team football or move on, Hmm wonder if Old Tone thinks the same? Oh hang on, how old is Lil ant?

Alas not Parksy.
To be fair however he is called Neil Danns & (not Neil McLeish) so the one and only exception (shameless nepotism) didn't "kick in" here.

They've just completed the permanent signing of Shaun Derry too

Derry's been there all season, hasn't he?.
(I think it was him that wouldn't go back when midget man wanted to recall his loan ;D)
But i do think Danns could add something - plus if they get Stead - who i think will chip in with a good few, they will be right up there for me.

Very good signing for them, at a pretty reasonable price too. Goalscoring midfielders aren't easy to find and at 600k, they've got themselves a quality deal. Have to admit, I fear Palace's run, they're going to be very hard to stop, but if anyone can do it, we can

If memory serves me right, he signed on loan just after we beat them 3-1 (had to get that one in)
The loan expired at the start of January and he did indeed refuse to play for Mr Wise.
The move has been on the cards ever since!
