At home at least, it seems to bring out the best in the players and the crowd - backs to the wall, bull dog spirit etc. The atmosphere went up a notch when Rory got himself sent off yesterday, we all felt badly wronged (though TV footage shows he had to go).
Its brilliant, I love it when we put one over a bunch of fancy dans who think they're special and earn far too much money - but my sneeking concern is that we might not find the forthcoming "easy" games as easy as we think. Expectations of the crowd will be higher and we're more likely to come across opponents who want to defend and play it cagey. You just know that the big boys have to come and attack, because they're meant to beat us. The Boltons, Blackburns etc will play it very differently - and that's where I hope we don't come unstuck. Our performances against Hull and Fulham were unimpressive.
We're in for an interesting few months! I pray we can finish the job - VERY impressed with our two January signings!
Goarrnnnn Stoke!
