Was I the only one in thinking that the handover was a bit sudden yesterday? In many ways the Citeh fans capitalised on it, we seemed to go quiet until the Kick off? Anticlimax or what? Now I am not a fan of the booming PA before the game, but the handover needs to be managed I think..? Maybe like the way Newcastle did it with a bloke leading the singing on a mic? What do you all think? Views?

The only way it worked was by pissing people off into singing.

To be honest I would rather have the music until the teams have been read out then let us get goin just as they line up for the kickoff. Loads or people are still getting to their seats until we kickoff anyway.

I think it's a good idea, it was just badly done, the Soccer AM bit was stupid and unnecessary. The atmosphere at the Brit is best when something happens to spark it, it's sometimes hard to just switch it on, which is what they effectively wanted to happen.
We more than made up for it in the match though.

They couldn't organise a piss up in brewery!!!!!!
The PA is still awful (from the John Smith's) and any messages/music should be piped through into the bar areas as Sunderland do to get people into the seats.

That PA is only good for music and useless for talking. Block 22 at half time yesterday nobody around me could hear the name of who was making the draw let alone what the numbers were.
NO-ONE tells me when to make a noise.
I thought the best sound was the sustained boo in the second half.
I would have thought that if they wanted to record maximum noise they would have done it at a 5.30 kick off game rather than 12.45 - everyone would have been in the pub longer.

I thought it was bloody embarrassing: "You are officially the loudest fans in the country, let's show sky how loud you can be"
We're not fucking Wigan fans mate, we can get an atmosphere going on our own... now fuck off you gayer.

What is with the comments regarding soccer AM? I time leaving the bar to getting to my sit like Beatie heading a goal. Therefore must have missed it, what were they doing then?

At the final whistle just as a song was about to bellow out as a still Packed Brit saluted their heroes, some cnut but the music on, you couldn't make it up could you.
PS On the subject of the PA, surely it's not hard to slow down the big screen as the teams are read out. For the 2nd (TWO) time now, the screen has been going a lot faster than the PA. Why don't we go the whole hog and play the Benny Hill theme tune in the backround. FFS sort it out you bunch of idiots.

Stoke fans will not want to sing until the players are out on the pitch, simple as that. What's the point?
Lots of young fans at the brit now, they all love their music, turn it up, get it bouncing, all the youngsters are loving it, for me the louder the better before the players come out, then cut it.
Choice of music is key though. Great when we played Brum a few season ago and they played 'when two tribes go to way' and 'i predict a riot' just before kick off!!

I thought the PA being turned off killed the atmosphere for a bit because it felt less spontaneous.
Fortunately the ref really got us going...

That was hilarious the bloke stands right in front of us, he starts of rolling his R's etc, by the end he cant keep up!!! In principal it is a great idea, but as pointed out everyone is still getting to their seats, munching their last mouth of Wrights Pie, so I think we need a little more assistance... So how?

It was a worh a try but unfortunalty it did not work. But give the club a bit of credit they tried something different. I'm sure the last 10-15 mins made up for it the atmoshepre was top draw, the players must have had a massive lifted from the crowd.

It boils down to the old 'I vill say zis only Vonce, you vill enjoy yourself, or else'!!!!! When I heard what the club were planning I thought oh dear, that probably wont work, and it didn't! Our fans don't need orchestrating our support is natural and spontaneous, a reaction to how we all feel about things on the day. Long may it continue.

As regards orchestrating I just didnt think they had thought this thru, it basically left us hanging embarrisingly...
Do you think they should have let it go at the end when we were making one heck of a din? What should they have done? Left the PA off at the end?
