I am convinced that the noise in the stadium from the 80th minute, would influence any refs decision, after the noise following the sending off of Delap. There was no way he was going to give a penalty following Griffs late tackle. So remember crowds do make a difference, keep it up lads & Lasses

wasn't a penalty anyway in my opinion. Sure, griff didn't get the ball, but he didn't get him either. He fell over.

plus the fact that it wasnt a penalty helped as well. but i wouldnt have been surprised if it had been given if delap wasnt sent off, and realized that he had cocked up for not sending SWP off as well..

griff was so slow in the tackle, that he missed the man as well.
about the only time his lack of pace has helped us.

FFS Of course it was Griffin's fault!!! In fact if you look closely I definatly saw Griffin slyly run on and tell Twatkinson to send Rory off. Mind you I did have my "I hate Griff, Wilko is god" tinted specs on.
Look at it again and you'll see it actually should have been a foul to Stoke! Richards pushed Griffin over and as he fell he clipped his heels. Not a penno in a million years but still amazed it wasn't given.

It was a definite penalty, no question.

I don't think I said he didn't catch him. I said it was a foul on Griffin caused him to fall over and clip Richards heels. Therefore, no penalty.
Anyway its immaterial isn't it. It's gone now but its the slag off Griffin, Faye (little), Fuller, Mama, Cresswell, Whelan et al (take your'e pick at any given point in the season) Brigade who get on my tits.

Didn't really think it was a penalty, but seen them given, and we definately made the difference

I make no apologies for saying that Griffin isn't good enough.
In truth, he could have awarded a penalty there, and Im pretty sure there are more than a few Referee's that would have had no hesitation in royally fucking Stoke up the backside. Griffin DID catch Richards, although it was Richards nudging him that caused the fall, and subsiquently the clip that occured.
