Can we please now finally lay to rest this argument. Yesterday was testament to that. The only time the Old Vic generated that sort of atmosphere was when we were top of the old first division in the early seventies and those cup games against Man U and West Ham.
With corners filled in the Brit can only get better.

We should combine the best of both, fill in the corners, and rip the seats out of each end, probably be around 45,000 capacity if we did that ;D

"Rip up the seats" or we could wait 'til we play Millwall again.

Brit will be like a sauna with corners filled and a cauldron of noise.

Bring back standing at the home ends and then you might be close. They are just different not better or worse.
Getting things going was much easier with a sway and a crowd surge in the old standing days. If you are young, old or infirm you might want to choose seats. But the old Vic Boothen end used to get about 12,000 on its own.
As for the dangerous element, not so, I went to my first match at 5 couldna see much but in the old Boothen if you fell over you always got picked up and nothing could beat jumping up and down singing.
Red n white army, red n white army, on the days I couldnt go I remeber I could here em up in Trent Vale on match days.
And in 20 years I never missed standing within 5 feet of my usual spot, everyone knew where to go.
In fairness the Brit has got MUCH better, that first season after the Vic was awful, no singing no atmosphere, like being in a car park. But at least we had some decent bogs and a pie stall in the new stadium.
Get the corners filled in and lets have a standing paddock at the Boothen end (never happen). Sorry if that means you loose your seats.
The Vic will always be the spiritual home for me, but the Brit is gradually building its own history, it takes time and the Vic had more of that and more memories...for a while at least.
