Bastards, we should have a whip round to buy him a new one , they are quite cheap in Argos and Halfords

We should all chip in and buy him a new red and white striped one. Someone tries to do something to draw attention to the shocking waste of a holy place and some duffer (or intersted party, conspiracy theory!!) stick a match to it.
The Victoria Park, I can see it now littered with statues of famous Stokies and a couple of footie pitchies. Get local kids playing on the once sacred ground, how fitting would that be. Instead we have a f***ing eyesore!!!

They could have a Red and White theme with a red and white fence going round and on the fence images of great stoke players past and present. Maybe a bust of Waddington and a few other iconic figures from the past. A small 5 a side pitch, perhaps atro turf? A kids play area that is red and white and a sort of raised stepping area, to look like a terrace where the Boothen End was and then benches could be put on with Stoke City facts on for parents to sit on whilst their children play? Just a few ideas.

Its a mythical place and certainly shouldnt be buried under a supermarket, a few shitty houses or worse still as now a load of rumble, cans and the poor f***kers burnt down tent!!!!
The council should get their shit together and make a public space that raises the spirits. The Council for years have forgetten and neglected the town that gives its name to our CITY. Now that Hanley is the centre we will have a forgotten generation who dont even know what the Vic was.
Shame on you SOT CC. As for the bastards who burned the tent, you probably wouldnt have lasted five minutes on the original Boothen End, someone would have smaked the s**t out of you proper!!

Wankers St Modwen, wankers who burned down the tent. Seriously, shall we have a whip-round here and get him another and take it to him?

Yes, proper 5 season tents tent to be flame retardant as you don't wanna have to go outside when its 20 below to use your stove to have a brew

Just another example of our "joke" of a council. WTF? ??? Are you suggesting the council torched the tent? Or the council own the land? I'd say you're wrong on the first count and definitely wrong on the second one.

its symbolic of what a backwards city we are. A prime piece of land lies a derelict eyesore on a major gateway into the city and when somebody tries to draw attention to it he gets this sort of treatment. Its no wonder the place is a shithole

count me in for the contribution - i think it's discusting how it's been done. Whoever did it needs a good kicking. We need some kind of petition to St Modwem etc to turn it into a park. Wonder how much they want for the land? surely it's dead wood to them 11 years on and especially in the current economic climate.
