Brother in Law knows a steward that was in the tunnel after the Man Utd match and heard Ferguson talking to a bloke that he was with that he should never have let Ryan go.
Shawcross can only get better 'providing Lord forbid that he never gets any kind of serious injury' and at the age of twenty has the footballing world at his feet.
This lad could well go onto captaining the England team and as such how much would this lad be worth in today's transfer market?...........£15,000,000 upwards perhaps?.

Shawcross has been amazingly good over the past few games. Well done Rudgey and TP for spotting him and PC for giving the money to sign him.
If they can keep free of injuries, Ryan and Abdy could be the key to keeping us up.

Even if Ryan is still owned by Man U,it's a win win situation for Stoke. We have made Ryan into the player he his today,Ferguson will throw players our way to develop their true potential.

Wasn't he our 'record' signing when we purchased him ??? ??? All this money Uncle peter has spent he'll get half of it back on Shawcross alone, not a bad bit of business

If it was left to some of the experts on this site, he'd have been loaned out to some shite like Coventry or Ipswich earlier in the season.

I've always rated Ryan (haven't we all?!) but he has surprised me just how well he has been playing lately.
He struggled a little early on in the season and there were rumours he was looking to leave but it shows a lot about his character that he has dug in and managed to win his place back and is now part of our first choice CB partnership.
He's improving on the ball all the time and with Abdy alongside will only continue to get better. Could do with him popping up with a couple of goals as that was an immense part of his game last season but I hope we see him in red & white for many years to come.

He's been truely outstanding of late. He just makes it look so easy. Never flustered, and his reading of the game is way beyond his years.
We don't tend to hear many songs for Shawcross, maybe we should get a few going in the coming weeks.

The thing is in the 1st game against Bolton he looked woefully inadequate. The fact that he's applied himself and improved shows he has what it takes to get to the top. That he has that level of perseverance and dedication is part of the Man Yoo influence. Good habits.

My father, a life long Manure supporter of 70 years(that is supporting them not his age he is now over 80 and still watches all their home games and the reason I have supported Stoke for 43 years) was at an hospitality do just after we signed Shawcross and asked fergie why he had sold him and was told that manure had plenty of central defenders ahead of him. That he liked the way Pulis organised his defences so that would improve Ryan's ability no end and if he improved to his full potential he could always buy him back. Before you ask I have just got home from work I have not been drinking! Hic perhaps just a small one
What a prime example of the arrogance of Ferguson and Man Ure! They wonder why they're dispised by fans of every other club.
